The Fischer-Tropsch reaction is a geochemical reaction in which mantle-derived carbon dioxide and hydrogen are generated into hydrocarbons and water under the action of high temperature and pressure and geological catalysts (FIG. 2).
The main evidence for the theory of inorganic origin of petroleum can be divided into the following three aspects:
(1) The process of inorganic hydrocarbon generation has been realized in the laboratory through the synthesis of inorganic substances;
(2) Evidence of hydrocarbons has been detected in celestial spectra, meteorites, volcanic gases and magmatic rocks;
(3) The optical activity of petroleum can be synthesized by non-optical substances, and porphyrins can also be synthesized inorganic.
Zhang Jinglian's book on the Inorganic Origin of Petroleum, written in 2001, "declared the end of the theory of organic origin of oil and gas." Academician Li Qingzhong raised 22 questions on the theory of organic oil generation. These doubts have theoretical aspects and practical aspects, and each question is to the point. Professor Du Letian is the first scholar to advocate the earth's exhaust effect, he put forward the mantle juice theory in 1987, that "mantle juice comes from the strong hydrogen flow outward radiation of the Earth's core". He believes that the crust gas sphere contains huge natural gas resources for human large-scale development and utilization. It is worth noting that the earth's hydrogen and hydrocarbon emission theory proposed by Professor Du Letian can reasonably explain many geological disasters and natural disasters.
3. Scientific attitude Research scientific problems
Petroleum is a complex mixture of hydrocarbons and non-hydrocarbons, mainly composed of oil (hydrocarbons), gum (viscous semi-solid substances), asphaltene (dark brown or black brittle solid substances), carbon (non-hydrocarbons), the main components are :C, H, O, N, S. Because petroleum has no uniform and clear molecular chemical formula and its composition is very complicated, its formation process and mechanism must be very complicated. The theory of organic origin of petroleum plays a dominant role in the theory of petroleum geology, but the research of inorganic origin of petroleum has been carried out. Although the various indicators of organic oil generation theory can objectively guide the practice of oil exploration, it may have big problems in itself (the laboratory can not prove that organic matter can generate oil at low temperature), and its guiding role in oil and gas exploration can only be considered as a practical behavior of summarizing objective laws and guiding production.
The dispute between the wave theory of light and the particle theory, the dispute between the igneism theory of rock and the water theory, all started from the argument between the two scientists that "water and fire are not allowed to tolerate" and "not allow an inch of land", and each side gave a correct explanation of the phenomenon they saw, but they all thought that they were absolutely correct due to the inertia of thinking. What should we think of that period of scientific history? The current "organic" and "inorganic" debate has been going on for more than 100 years, and there are experts and scholars who have begun to agree that there are deep crustal materials in individual natural gas deposits, that is, there are scholars who agree that natural gas is a combination of organic and inorganic materials. If there is methane from deep in the Earth's crust, could there be heavy hydrocarbons from deep sources of organic matter? Could oil be a mixture of organic and inorganic products? On the road of exploration of oil sources, we need to continue to face the evidence we have with a scientific and realistic attitude, face the problems faced by the theory, and believe that the mystery of the source of oil will one day be cleared up.
