The latest data from the National Energy Administration show that after breaking through 1.3 billion kilowatts in June this year, the installed capacity of renewable energy power generation in the country reached a new high, breaking through 1.4 billion kilowatts by the end of October, reaching 1.404 billion kilowatts, an increase of 20.8%, accounting for about 49.9% of the total installed capacity of power generation in the country. In the same period, the country's renewable energy generation reached 2.33 trillion KWH, accounting for 31.8 percent of the country's total power generation. It is expected that the national renewable energy generation will reach 3 trillion KWH in the whole year, accounting for about 1/3 of the electricity consumption of the whole society. With the continuous expansion of installed capacity, the development of new energy in China has entered an important window period, and technological innovation has become a powerful driving force for the growth and development of the new energy industry.

● "Quality" and "quantity" double increase

"China's new energy installed capacity, investment, and power generation have ranked first in the world for many consecutive years. China's new energy has become a national business card." In Zhao Yongqiang's view, the future energy system must be green, safe, economic and cost acceptable, that is, clean and low-carbon, safe and resilient, flexible and intelligent, economically efficient and inclusive sharing as the main characteristics. In this process of change, energy supply, consumption, and markets will all change.

"The future of new energy must be concentrated at the head of the whole industrial chain, relying on long-term accumulation of technology, resources, market and management experience, and moving towards high-quality development."
