4. Performance Enhancement: Larger Cache and Faster Transmission

The performance of the 24TB model is particularly outstanding:

Cache capacity: Equipped with a large capacity cache of 1024 MB (1GB), which is twice the capacity of other models (512MB). Combined with Toshiba caching technology, it can more effectively pre read and buffer data, significantly improve random read and write performance, accelerate multitasking and small file access.

Continuous transmission speed: up to 309 MB/s, an improvement of about 10% compared to other models' 281 MB/s, with significant advantages in handling large-scale continuous data such as 4K/8K video materials and large database backups.

Toshiba offers a 5-year limited warranty for the entire N300 Pro series, significantly extending the 3-year warranty period of the standard N300. Balancing cost-effectiveness and capacity: 18TB or 16TB models are a "sweet spot" choice. They have no compromise on enterprise level features (300TB/year load, RV sensing, 5-year warranty), while also having excellent energy efficiency and quiet operating performance, suitable for mainstream enterprise applications such as file sharing, backup and archiving.

Budget sensitive expansion or specific use: The 12TB or 14TB model provides a threshold capacity to enter the N300 Pro enterprise level features while maintaining low noise and good energy efficiency, suitable for branch offices or as an expansion disk for existing storage.

Special note: Models with a capacity of 10TB and below, although still listed as "Pro" in the feature list, have higher operating power consumption (~9W) and noticeable idle noise (34dB) that are closer to the previous generation design. Unless completely insensitive to these two points and the capacity budget is strictly limited, it is recommended to start from 12TB for new enterprise systems.
