Troubleshooting steps for fault phenomena
DECS-300 cannot power on to check input power supply (120Vac type: 85~132Vac; 125Vdc type: 90~150VDC; 24/48Vdc type: 16~60VDC). If the power supply is normal but still unable to start, contact the factory for repair.
LCD display is blank or frozen. Power on again after 60 seconds of power-off. If it occurs after software upgrade, re execute the download process. If the problem persists, return to the factory.
The generator voltage cannot be established to check the PT primary/secondary voltage, bridge control signal type, and soft start parameters (excitation time/voltage threshold). Temporarily close the OEL limiter and gradually increase the soft start setting value.
The voltage is established but DECS-300 does not flicker, and the "voltage cannot be established" check item is checked. At the same time, the excitation power circuit and isolation module connection are checked.
Check the cable connection between the isolation module and DECS-300 when the magnetic field voltage/current values in the LCD remain unchanged. Test with analog signals: P1-4 (magnetic field current signal 2.0~9.5Vdc, 2.0V=0A), P1-6 (magnetic field voltage signal 0.9~9.1Vdc, 5.0V=0V). If the simulation test is normal, the isolation module is faulty.
Check the AVR voltage setting, PT ratio, accessory input for zero, VAR/PF and Droop disabled, and underfrequency inflection point below operating frequency for low generator voltage (AVR mode).
Check the set value, PT ratio, accessory input, and VAR/PF/Droop disabled state of the high voltage motor (AVR mode).
Replace the DECS-300 drive signal with a DC battery to verify the normal operation of the excitation power converter for generator voltage oscillation ("traveling car"). If the problem originates from DECS-300, adjust the gain parameters of the corresponding mode.
Whether the protection or restriction alarm check related setting values match the actual working conditions.
Abnormal readings of measurement values (PF/VAR/Watt) confirm that the B-phase CT is correctly connected to the B-phase input terminal (not A or C phase) of DECS-300.
Unable to communicate to check serial cable connection, baud rate setting, communication port, and software configuration.
When the DECS-300 is frequently restarted with a single power supply, if the input voltage is below the minimum value or fluctuates violently, it will cause a restart. Ensure that the power supply voltage meets the specifications.
