One person can complete calibration and maintenance, reducing labor costs

Automatic suppression output: When entering the menu or calibration, the 4-20mA output automatically switches to suppression current (default 2mA) to avoid false alarms

Through magnetic stick operation, users can adjust the following parameters:

measurement range

Alarm setting value

Relay action mode (normally open/normally closed, power on/off, latch/non latch)

Electronic tag number (for device identification)

Calibration gas concentration

Suppress current and timeout period


Electrical interface and communication capability

Sensepoint XCD provides multiple electrical interfaces to meet the integration requirements of different control systems:

1. Analog output

Type: 4-20mA, can select source or sink type through internal dip switch

Load resistance: maximum 250 Ω

Special current state:

≤ 1mA: System malfunction

2mA: Start or inhibit state

4-20mA: Normal measurement

22mA: Over range

2. Relay output

Quantity: 3 groups, each with a capacity of 5A @ 250VAC

Configuration: 2 sets of programmable alarm relays, 1 set of fault relays

Function: Supports multiple modes such as normally open/normally closed, power on/off, latch/non latch, etc

3. Digital communication

Modbus RTU: optional Modbus module, communicates with PLC, DCS or upper computer through RS485 bus

Advantages: Supports networking of multiple devices, significantly saves wiring costs, and enables remote diagnosis and configuration

4. Wiring convenience

Pluggable terminals: The terminal module adopts a plug-in design, which is convenient for on-site wiring and replacement

Independent display module: The display module can be easily unplugged to expose the terminal area, and can be plugged back in after wiring

Inlet: Provide 2 M20 or 3/4 "NPT inlet ports (depending on the certified version), compatible with conduit or armored cables


Installation flexibility and accessory system

The installation design of Sensepoint XCD fully considers the diversity of the site and supports multiple installation methods and accessory combinations:

1. Installation method

Wall installation: Use the built-in mounting plate of the transmitter to directly fix it

Pipeline installation: Use pipeline installation brackets (SPXCDMTMB) to install on horizontal or vertical risers (diameter 40-80mm)

2. Sensor installation options

Direct installation: The sensor is directly screwed into the bottom of the transmitter

Remote installation: With the remote sensor installation kit, the sensor and transmitter can be installed separately, with a maximum distance of up to 30 meters (to be verified based on site conditions)

3. Key accessories

Standard weather protection cover SPXCDWP is essential for outdoor installation, protecting sensors from wind and rain

When using the calibration cap S3KCAL with calibration gas, ensure that the gas accurately covers the sensor

Gas collection cone SPXCDCC is used to detect the accumulation of gases lighter than air, such as methane

The duct installation kit SPXCDDMK is suitable for gas monitoring inside HVAC system ducts

Sun/Rain Cover SPXCDSDP is suitable for tropical or strong sunlight environments to prevent overheating and thermal shock

Pipeline installation bracket SPXCDMTMB installs the transmitter on the riser or horizontal pipe

Remote sensor installation kit SPXCDRSK enables separate installation of sensors and transmitters

Sensor plug kit SPXCDRSPK is used to connect sensors and transmitters for remote installation
