Chapter 7 Compliance with Explosion proof Zones (ATEX/IECEx/UKEX)
For models with ATEX/IECEx/UKEX certification (certification code B), they must comply with the following when used in Zone 2 explosive gas environments:
Temperature level:
RS20/RS30: T4 (S-type 0~60 ° C, T/E-type -40~70 ° C)
RS232/RS32: T4 (S-type 0~50 ° C, T/E-type -40~50 ° C) - PoE model has a lower temperature upper limit
RS40: T3 (-40~70 ° C) or T4 (-40~60 ° C), depending on the model
Shell protection: The equipment must be installed in cabinets with IP54 or higher (according to EN 60079-0).
Overvoltage limit: Transient overvoltage shall not exceed 119V (protection is required for over 40% of the rated voltage).
Live operation prohibited: All connectors (including SFP, DSC, RJ45) must be plugged and unplugged, and DIP switches must be switched in a power-off state.
USB port: USB devices must not be connected or disconnected in explosion-proof areas (emphasized in multiple parts of the manual), and USB is only used for temporary configuration in non hazardous areas.
Chapter 8 Initial Configuration and Security Baseline
8.1 IP Address Allocation
DHCP is enabled by default at the factory. If a static IP is required, it can be configured through the following methods:
V. 24 serial port (RJ119600bps, 8N1) - connect to VT100 terminal.
HiDiscovery protocol (via Industrial HiVision or HiDiscovery tool).
BOOTP/DHCP Option 82。
ACA22-USB configuration adapter (only for use in non explosion proof areas).
Default credentials (applicable to HiOS versions before 7.1/8.1):
Read only: user/public
Read and write: admin/private
Important: The default password must be changed immediately after the first login (at least 8 characters, including uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and special characters). If forgotten, it can be reset through System Monitor.
8.2 Other default parameters
Ring network redundancy: disabled (DIP switch default software configuration takes priority).
Port link status monitoring (signal contact): disabled.
100Mbps fiber optic: forcing 100M full duplex.
Other ports: Auto negotiation enabled.
RSTP: Enable.
Chapter 9 Environmental Monitoring and Maintenance
The relationship between internal temperature and ambient temperature: The internal temperature displayed by CLI/GUI is about 20 ° C higher than the ambient temperature (5cm away from the device). If the internal temperature exceeds the threshold (such as 83 ° C for RS20 standard type), a signal contact alarm may be triggered.
Relay maintenance: Signal relays are wear parts, and contact resistance should be checked regularly when the switching frequency is high.
Firmware update: Regularly visit the official website to download the latest software.
Ventilation hole inspection: Regularly clean according to the degree of dust on site.
Chapter 10 Disassembly and Disposal
Disassembly sequence (mandatory):
Disconnect all data cables.
Turn off the power supply voltage.
Disconnect the signal and power terminals.
Finally, disconnect the grounding wire (the grounding must be removed last).
DIN rail disassembly: Insert a screwdriver horizontally into the locking groove, pull down, and lift the bottom of the device away from the rail.
