Some insiders pointed out that China's biomass energy has great development potential, the use of biomass energy heating "coal to produce" is a better choice to replace loose coal heating in rural areas. Today, as a more advantageous alternative to coal-fired heating in counties and rural areas, "coal to life" has begun to receive attention.

According to statistics, at present, there are about 120 million tons of straw and 200 million tons of forestry residues that can be used for energy utilization in rural areas of China. Different from the environmental pollution caused by straw incineration, biomass resources can be used efficiently and cleanly as fuel, and can be used locally, which is both economical and environmentally friendly.

"During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, if the north, especially in rural areas, promotes clean heating in a large area, then biomass energy is definitely the first choice." Zhang Dayong said that if the preferential policy is extended to "coal to biomass", it will make a great contribution to the development of the entire biomass energy industry and carbon emission reduction in rural areas.
