In terms of communication, the 1900/65A supports Modbus communication through Ethernet and a software configurable RS232/485 serial port, greatly simplifying integration with upper level control systems. For early versions that did not come pre installed with this feature, users can upgrade through the 1900/01 communication upgrade kit.
Flexible configuration method
Software based configuration: Users can create complete configuration files by running 1900 Configuration Software on a laptop or PC. This software provides an intuitive interface for defining channel types, variables, alarm settings, filters, relay logic, and Modbus register mapping tables. The configuration file is downloaded to the monitor through the built-in Ethernet port of the device. The device will permanently store configuration information in non-volatile memory and can upload existing configurations to the PC for modification or backup.
Optional display module: To meet the needs of on-site operations, the 1900/65A supports connecting an optional display/keyboard module. This module is equipped with an LCD display screen and LED indicator lights (normal, alarm, danger, bypass, multiplier, etc.), allowing operators to view channel information and status on site and make minor configuration modifications. It is worth mentioning that the display module can be installed separately from the host module through a cable of up to 75 meters, providing great installation flexibility. For example, the host can be installed inside the control cabinet, while the display panel can be installed outside the cabinet for easy observation.
In depth technical specifications: channel types and signal processing
The strength of the 1900/65A lies not only in its hardware interface, but also in its pre-set channel types for different application scenarios. Each channel type contains specialized signal processing algorithms and variable definitions.
Acceleration/reciprocating acceleration channel
Application: Suitable for monitoring high-frequency vibrations of bearings, gearboxes, etc.
Variables: Each channel can continuously process up to four variables.
Vibration variable: up to three amplitude measurements with bandpass filtering.
Acceleration Enveloping: An envelope algorithm can be applied to a variable, which can effectively extract high-frequency impact signals caused by bearing faults or gear meshing problems that are masked by low-frequency vibrations.
Bias voltage: monitors the bias voltage of the sensor and is used to diagnose the integrity of the sensor and its cables.
Configuration options: Peak/RMS, metric/imperial units, configurable high/low-pass filters (up to 25kHz), full range. The acceleration variable can be integrated to obtain the velocity value.
Accuracy: ± 1% of full scale.
Speed/reciprocating speed channel
Application: Suitable for general mechanical vibration assessment that complies with standards such as ISO 10816.
Variables: Supports up to four variables, including up to three bandpass filtered speed variables and bias voltage monitoring.
Configuration options: Peak/RMS, units, filter (up to 5.5kHz), full range. The velocity variable can be integrated to obtain the displacement value.
Accuracy: ± 1% of full scale.
Radial vibration channel
Application: Use eddy current sensors to measure radial vibration of shafts.
Variables: Provides direct vibration (bandpass filtering), gap voltage (Gap), and optional vibration variables.
Filter: A specially designed direct filter (such as 1-600Hz, 4-4000Hz) is used to measure shaft vibrations at different frequencies (such as unbalance, misalignment, oil film vortex).
Accuracy: ± 1% of full scale.
Thrust/Position/Speed Channel
Thrust: Measure the axial displacement of the shaft. Provide position and gap variables.
Location: Measure the general mechanical position. Provide position and gap variables.
Speed: Measure the speed using eddy current sensors or magnetic sensors. Up to four speed measurements can be performed, supporting the setting of events per revolution (EPR), with an accuracy of up to ± 0.5 RPM+0.015% reading.
temperature input
Processing: Each channel processes a temperature variable, equipped with a 50Hz analog low-pass filter and a powerful digital notch filter (with a minimum attenuation of 100dB for 50/60Hz and its first 5 harmonics), effectively suppressing power frequency interference.
Accuracy: For thermocouples, the typical accuracy at room temperature is ± 1 ℃; For a 3-wire RTD, the accuracy is ± 1.5 ℃+0.5% of full scale.

Logic, Control, and Electrical Characteristics
Advanced Relay Logic
The relay logic function of 1900/65A far exceeds simple "AND gate" triggering. It allows users to use logical operators (AND, OR, True AND) to combine logical operands from any channel (such as channel alarms, variable hazards, monitor failures, etc.) into complex logical statements to control each relay. Each relay can contain up to 50 operands and supports independent configuration as self-locking/non self-locking, excitation/de excitation, providing great control flexibility.
Remote control input
Suppress/Multiply Input: A multifunctional input that can be software configured as "Suppress" or "Multiply". As a suppression, it is used for temporary bypass alarms, such as during start-up and shutdown processes. As a multiplier, short circuiting this input can multiply the alarm setpoint by a factor (Trip Multiply) to adapt to transient operating conditions.
