HONEYWELL HCiX series touch panel operation interface

In modern industrial automation systems, the human-machine interface serves as a bridge between operators and control systems, and its performance and reliability directly affect production efficiency and operational safety. The HCIX series touch screen interface is launched by Honeywell, which integrates high-resolution color display, touch interaction, powerful communication capabilities, and flexible scalability, providing an integrated human-machine interaction solution for various industrial applications.


Product Series Overview

The HCIX series covers a variety of screen sizes and configuration models to meet the needs of different application scenarios. The main models include:

HCIW04-T: 4.3-inch widescreen TFT LCD

HCIX05-T: 5.7-inch TFT LCD

HCIW07-T/HCIW07-TV: 7-inch widescreen TFT LCD

HCIX08-T/HCIW08-QE/HCIW08-QV: 8.4-inch TFT LCD

HCIX10-T/HCIW10-T/HCIW10-TV: 10.4-inch and 10.2-inch widescreen TFT LCDs

HCIX12-T: 12.1-inch TFT LCD

HCIX15-T: 15.0-inch TFT LCD

All models use analog resistive touch screens that support 65536 true color displays, ensuring clear graphical interfaces and rich colors to enhance the user experience.


Core display and touch technology

1. High brightness TFT LCD display screen

The HCIX series comes standard with a TFT color LCD display, featuring a wide viewing angle and high brightness. The brightness parameters of different models are as follows:

HCIW04-T、HCIW07-T、HCIW10-T:350 cd/m²

HCIX05-T、HCIU05-T:450 cd/m²

HCIX08-T、HCIW08-QE/QV、HCIX10-T:400 cd/m²

HCIX12-T:380 cd/m²

HCIX15-T:350 cd/m²

In terms of resolution, it ranges from 480 × 272 at 4.3 inches to 1024 × 768 at 15 inches, meeting diverse needs from simple data monitoring to complex graphical interfaces.

2. Simulated resistive touch screen

All models are equipped with analog resistive touch screens, allowing operators to directly set parameters, switch interfaces, and input data through the touch screen. Compared to traditional keyboard operations, touch screens greatly simplify the operation process and improve the efficiency of human-computer interaction. The touch resolution is consistent with the display resolution to ensure touch accuracy.


High performance hardware platform

1. 32-bit RISC processor

The HCIX series adopts a 32-bit RISC architecture processor with high-speed graphics processing capabilities, which can smoothly run complex animations, multi window interfaces, and real-time data updates, ensuring the response speed and smoothness of the operating interface.

2. Storage and Data Recording

The built-in Flash memory capacity of each model is as follows:

HCIW04-T、HCIX05-T、HCIU05-T:6 MB

Other models: 26 MB

In addition, the HCIX series supports CF card, SD card, and USB storage device expansion for easy data recording and backup. The system can record real-time data in CSV format to external storage media, and users can analyze and print it using tools such as Microsoft Excel.

3. Power supply and power consumption

The HCIX series supports multiple power input methods:

Most models use 24 Vdc (20-28 V) power supply

HCIX10-T, HCIX12-T, HCIX15-T support AC 85-264V wide voltage input

The power consumption range varies from 15 W to 25 W, suitable for different power supply conditions in industrial sites.

Environmental adaptability and protection level

1. IP65F front panel protection

All HCIX series products have front panels that meet the IP65F protection level, with excellent dust and water resistance, suitable for harsh industrial environments such as humidity and dust. After installation, the front panel can effectively resist water jets and dust intrusion, ensuring long-term stable operation of the equipment.

2. Wide temperature working ability

Working temperature range: -10 ℃ to+60 ℃ (most models)

Storage temperature range: -20 ℃ to+70 ℃

The lower limit of operating temperature for some models such as HCIX08-T and HCIW08-QV is+10 ℃, and the selection should be matched according to the actual ambient temperature.

3. Anti interference and vibration capability

The HCIX series has excellent electromagnetic compatibility, with a noise tolerance of 1000-2000 Vp-p (pulse width 1 μ s) and a vibration tolerance of 10-25 Hz (1G acceleration), suitable for complex electromagnetic environments and mechanical vibration conditions in industrial sites.


Communication and Expansion Interface

1. Standard communication interface

The HCIX series provides rich communication interfaces to meet the connection needs with various PLCs, controllers, and upper computers:

RS-232C: Used for point-to-point communication

RS-422/485: Supports long-distance multi station communication

Ethernet (10/100Base-T): Supports high-speed network connection, suitable for remote monitoring and data integration

USB Host: Used for data import and export, firmware upgrade, and peripheral connection

USB Device: Used for communication with PC, enabling program download and upload

2. Fieldbus Expansion

Some models support fieldbus expansion modules such as Profibus, DeviceNet, CC Link, etc., which facilitate seamless integration with mainstream PLC systems and meet the communication needs of large-scale automation systems.
