For UL 864 certified installations, the following programming restrictions must be followed:
Low AC report delay: must be set to 1-3 hours (central station/remote signal application)
Alarm verification time: must be set to 1-60 seconds
Automatically display earliest events: must be enabled
Key points for installation and wiring
1. Cabinet installation
The dimensions of the 5700 cabinet are 12.75 inches wide by 15.125 inches high by 3.375 inches deep. Attention should be paid during installation:
Avoid installing in locations that may be damp
Concrete walls should be installed with 3/4 inch plywood before fixing the cabinets
The conduit should enter from the side or bottom, and entering from the top can easily cause water vapor to enter
2. Wiring specifications
High voltage (AC power) and low voltage (SLC, SBUS, telephone lines) must be wired separately
Separate conduits should be used for different functional wires to avoid electromagnetic interference
Notification circuits, relay circuits, SLC loops, etc. should be routed along the inner edge of the cabinet to avoid crossing the circuit board
3. Battery connection
The batteries are connected in series to form a 24 VDC power supply. The battery cable (red positive black negative) needs to be connected correctly, as incorrect polarity can damage the panel. The RBB battery cabinet can be used to store larger capacity batteries, and the distance between the battery cabinet and the main cabinet should not exceed 18 inches.

Programming and Configuration
The 5700 control panel can be programmed through the front panel menu or the Silent Knight software suite (SKSS).
1. JumpStart automatic programming
JumpStart is the recommended programming method for initial system installation. After running JumpStart, the system will:
Scan SLC loop to identify all detector and module types
Create Zone 1 and assign all input points to Zone 1
Create an output group and assign the notification circuit to Group 1
Map Zone 1 to Group 1 (alarm events use constant light mode)
Assign relay 1 to Group 124 (for monitoring events)
Assign relay 2 to Group 125 (for alarm events)
Important note: JumpStart should only run once after the system is powered on for the first time and the SLC device completes address settings. After running, all manual configurations will be reset, so it cannot be repeated after the system has been configured.
2. Manual programming
The system supports up to 125 input zones and 125 output groups. Programming options include:
Input point configuration:
Equipment types: photoelectric detector, ion detector, thermal detector, manual pull station, water flow switch, monitoring switch, etc
Regional allocation: Each input point can be assigned to a region
Locked/unlocked: The locked point needs to be manually reset, while the unlocked point automatically recovers
Muteable/Unmute: determines whether the point can be suppressed by pressing the mute button
Output group configuration:
Output modes: constant light, continuous, ANSI 3.41, UL encoding, etc
Muteable/Unmute: determines whether the output of the group can be muted
Locked/unlocked: determines whether the output will automatically reset after the condition is restored
Reverse polarity: used for remote station applications
Regional event mapping:
Each region can map 11 types of events (manual pull station alarm, water flow alarm, detector alarm, pre alarm, monitoring, fault, CO alarm, etc.), and each event can activate up to 8 output groups or output group templates.
3. User access code
The system supports up to 20 user profiles:
Configuration File 1 (Firefighter Key): Read only permission, can perform specific functions (such as fire drills)
Configuration file 2 (installer code): highest authority, factory default 123456
User Profile 3-20: Customizable Name, Code, and Function Permissions (System Reset, Mute, Confirm, Point Function, Programming, etc.)
Operation mode and system behavior
The 5700 control panel can operate in multiple modes during operation:
Mode triggering condition system behavior
Normal, no alarms, no faults, no monitoring. The green power LED is always on and displays a custom banner
Alarm detector alarm, manual pull station activation DACT dialing, continuous local buzzer sound, red alarm LED flashing, notification circuit activation
Monitoring switch activation (such as water flow pressure monitoring) DACT dialing, buzzer pulse sound (1 second on/1 second off), yellow monitoring LED flashing
System malfunction (battery, SLC open circuit, AC power failure, etc.) DACT dialing, buzzer pulse sound (1 second on/9 seconds off), yellow fault LED flashing
Pre alarm 2-Count: A single detector in the area will sound the local buzzer, and the output group can be programmed to activate without reporting to the central station
Silent alarm or fault has been muted but the condition has not been restored. The system mute LED is on, indicating that the circuit is silent and the LED remains lit
After pressing the reset button, all LEDs briefly light up, and the system resets the detector to restore normal operation or re-enter the alarm state
Releasing Operations
The 5700 control panel supports single interlock and double interlock release systems, suitable for applications such as pre action fire extinguishing systems and rain shower systems. The release function must be equipped with a 5496 intelligent power module.
