Descriptiomn

In addition to the windows interface and easy operation of the CENTUM series, the  CENTUM VP human interface station (HIS) provides intuitive, easy-to-understand  operating and monitoring environments. Its diverse display patterns offer flexibility for  various phases of operations and improve operating efficiency. This HIS assists the  implementation of easy-to-understand graphic windows based on ergonomics and  knowledge engineering, thus contributing to fast, accurate decision-making by the  operator and improving operating efficiency.

Ergonomic Design Concept 

The HIS for CENTUM VP adopts a new design concept “Simple & Intuitive” from the viewpoint  of ergonomics. Icons and information allocation based on the above design concept and the  use of a universal color design provide operators with comfortable operation and monitoring  environments causing fewer physical and mental burdens on operators.

Multiple Monitor Support 

Multiple windows can be displayed together on one monitor. In addition, one HIS can support up  to four monitors and the display contents can be switched between monitors by a single button.

High-speed Data Update 

Data acquisition functions allow display updating as fast as 1 sec. This level of performance is  required for manual control of pressure and flow.

Succession of Operability 

The same operability as for a conventional HMI, such as touch operations and eight-controlkey  operation, 64 function keys, and the like, has been achieved. In addition, when operability  changes with a CENTUM evolution, such as CAMS for HIS and Multi-window mode, specific  functions following the operability are provided.

Hardware 

The desktop type HIS consists of a PC with Microsoft Windows installed and an operation  keyboard. The operation and monitoring function of the desktop HIS enables simple  operation and monitoring by mouse and one-touch using the dedicated keyboard.  Moreover, one HIS supports up to four monitors, allowing more Information to be  displayed by one HIS. Wide-sized monitors are also supported.

Operation Keyboard 

The operation keyboard uses flat keys with a functional key layout based on a one-touch  operation. The operation keyboard includes an eight-control-key operation keyboard and a onecontrol-key operation keyboard.
