Chapter 2 Installation Requirements and Mechanical Dimensions

2.1 Installation environment requirements

The XV400 series is designed for installation in control cabinets, operation panels, or consoles and must meet the following environmental conditions:

Working temperature: 0... 50 ° C

Storage/transportation temperature: -20... 60 ° C

2.3 Installation precautions

Sealing requirement: All versions must use the accompanying sealing strip or front frame sealing ring to ensure IP65 protection

Tightening torque: When tightening the threaded pin, pay attention to the maximum torque, as excessive tightening may cause deformation of the front panel

Installation direction: 10.4 "and 12.1" can be installed horizontally or vertically, 15 "must be installed horizontally

Ventilation requirements: Leave at least 3 cm of ventilation gap around the equipment and at least 15 cm away from heating elements

4.3 Startup and Shutdown

Startup steps

Insert the CF card containing the operating system into CF slot 0

Insert the CF card containing data into CF slot 1 (optional)

Connect the power and the device will automatically start

After the first startup, the system settings and application installation need to be completed

Close

Simply disconnect the power supply

Frequent on/off (especially at low temperatures) can shorten the lifespan of the backlight. It is recommended to reduce the brightness as an alternative

Chapter 5 Maintenance and Troubleshooting

5.1 Daily Maintenance

Maintenance requirements for touch types

Resistance type maintenance free, clean in case of contamination, recalibrate in case of abnormal response

Infrared type requires regular cleaning of the infrared frame and does not require calibration

Cleaning precautions

Use a clean, soft, and slightly damp cloth

Stubborn stains can be sprayed with a small amount of cleaning agent on the cloth

Prohibit the use of sharp objects, corrosive cleaning agents, or solvents

Prevent liquids from entering the interior of the equipment

5.2 Troubleshooting Guide

Possible causes and solutions for the fault phenomenon

The device does not start and the power is not connected. Check the power cable

When starting, it displays "No OS found" on the CF card. If there is no operating system, load the operating system onto the CF card and insert it into CF slot 0

Display 'Calibrate touch' at startup, resistance touch not calibrated, recalibrate touch

Display 'Clean IR frame' at startup, infrared frame contamination, clean infrared frame

Display screen black backlight off or fault check software settings. If there is a fault, send it for repair

Touch unresponsive touch uncalibrated/infrared contamination/touch disabled calibration/cleaning/activated touch

TOUCH ERROR: Infrared frame contamination/equipment malfunction. Clean the infrared frame. If it is ineffective, send it for repair

5.3 Battery and Maintenance

Battery: CR2032 lithium battery is welded inside the equipment and cannot be replaced, with a lifespan of approximately 10 years

Repair: The equipment can only be opened by the manufacturer or authorized repair center, and the original packaging must be used when sending it for repair
