2. Wireless device integration

The C300 controller supports direct integration of ISA100 wireless field devices. The parameters of wireless devices can be used for control strategies like traditional I/O, and their configuration process is consistent with conventional I/O modules or fieldbus devices, achieving integrated operation of wireless technology and control systems.


Engineering and maintenance tools

1. Control Builder

Control Builder is an engineering design and maintenance platform for C300 controllers, providing a graphical user interface and predefined functional blocks, and supporting drag and drop configuration. Control engineers can use this tool to create, modify, load, and monitor control strategies.

2. Template support

Users can create typical control strategies as templates, which remain linked to the template even after instantiation. When the template is modified, all instances can automatically inherit the changes, ensuring consistency of the application and efficient maintenance.

3. Batch construction and batch editing

Batch Build: Supports batch generation of control strategies from instrument databases, suitable for rapid creation of a large number of similar strategies in large-scale projects

Batch editing: supports offline or online batch modification of a large number of parameters through CSV files, Excel, or Access, greatly improving daily maintenance efficiency

4. Online monitoring

After the control strategy is loaded, engineers can use the online monitoring function of Control Builder to view the real-time running status, numerical updates, and discrete signal color identification of functional blocks, which facilitates strategy verification and troubleshooting.

5. Version control and compliance

Through the optional qualification certification and version control system, the C300 controller supports complete version management functionality and meets the compliance requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 11 for electronic records and electronic signatures. QVCS provides detailed audit trails, version comparisons, and lifecycle management functions to ensure traceability and security of user configurations.

Advanced control functions

1. OperTune automatic circuit tuning

OperTune is an advanced PID loop tuning tool built into the Expert system, which supports closed-loop automatic tuning based on CEE controllers. Its interface is intuitive and algorithm robust, suitable for users at all levels to quickly optimize loop performance.

2. Profit Loop Model Predictive Control

Profit Loop is a patented algorithm from Honeywell, integrated as a standard functional block into the C300 controller library. It takes single input/single output model predictive control as its core, combining the computational efficiency of PID with the optimization ability of model control. Profit Loop can improve the process stability by up to 30% by predicting the future trend of the controlled variable and adjusting the control output in advance, while significantly reducing the number of valve actions and extending the service life of the equipment.

3. Custom Algorithm Blocks

C300 supports users to develop custom algorithm blocks in Control Builder using Visual Basic syntax. These custom blocks have the same properties as predefined functional blocks, can be directly embedded with control strategies, and executed in real-time environment of the controller, suitable for the implementation of complex control logic.


Operation interface and visualization

1. Detail display and group display

CEE supports assigning detail display templates and group display templates for each control strategy. Users can use the standard display templates provided by the system or create custom templates. Operators can directly interact with the loaded control strategy through the detail display interface, and the group display template can be used as a panel in custom graphics.

2. Chart visualization

The chart visualization function of Control Builder is embedded in every detail display, allowing operators to monitor and operate on the same interface, improving the efficiency of human-computer interaction.


Investment protection and platform compatibility

1. Platform independence

CEE, as the operating environment that carries user applications, is decoupled from the underlying hardware platform. When a new hardware platform is launched, users can upgrade while retaining their existing applications, fully protecting their existing investments.

2. Compatibility with existing I/O

The C300 controller supports integration with existing I/O series such as Honeywell Process Manager I/O, which has significant advantages among similar control systems. Meanwhile, C300 can seamlessly communicate with control nodes such as C200, C200E, and ACE, ensuring unified management and collaborative operation in heterogeneous control environments.


Installation and reliability design

The C300 controller adopts an innovative vertical installation design and shares the same appearance as the Series C I/O series. This design optimizes the wiring path inside the cabinet, improves airflow organization, and reduces the risk of hotspots. High density components effectively reduce the size of the circuit board and improve the overall reliability of the system while ensuring high channel density.
