1.6 Relays and Safety Relays

Murrelektronik offers over 600 active interface modules. The MIRO 6.2 series terminal relay has a width of only 6.2 mm, with a bridging system, coil voltage ranging from 6 V to 230 V AC/DC, contact capacity of 6 A (AC-12), and LED indication. The RMM series relays use screw terminals and provide various contact forms such as 1 NO, 1 NC, 2 NO/NC, with a maximum switching voltage of 250 V AC/300 V DC.

MIRO SAFE+safety relays are designed for applications such as emergency stop, protective doors, dual hand control, light curtains, and safety magnetic switches, with a maximum performance level of e (PLe) and a safety integrity level of SIL 3. For example, model 3000-33113-3020025 has 3 safety contacts (8 A), an input voltage of 24 V DC/AC, and a service life of 20 years. The expansion module can increase the number of safety contacts to 4 NO.

1.7 Optocouplers and Semiconductor Switches

The optocoupler module has no mechanical contacts and is suitable for high-frequency switches and long-life applications. MIRO 6.2 optocoupler provides transistor output (6 A, switching time 15/31 μ s) or three terminal bidirectional thyristor output (4 A, zero potential switch). The AMMS/AMMD series uses screw terminals with dual terminal output sides for easy parallel wiring.

1.8 Active and Passive Interface Technology

The active interface module is used to convert measured values (such as 0-20 mA, 4-20 mA, 0-10 V) into digital signals or standard analog signals, and achieve electrical isolation. The passive interface module provides SUB-D connectors, flat cable connectors, etc. for signal distribution inside the control cabinet.

Chapter 2: Interface Technology - Flexible Connection from Panel to Field

2.1 Front panel interface - Modlink MSDD

The Modlink MSDD series provides front-end interfaces with IP65 protection level for control cabinets and operation panels. Its modular design includes plastic or metal mounting frames (1 or 2 positions), various power sockets, and data inserts. The power sockets cover national standards such as Germany (VDE, white/yellow), France (UTE), the United States (NEMA 5-15/GFCI), the United Kingdom (BS), Italy, Denmark, Switzerland, Australia, India, China, Brazil, etc. The rated current is 10-16A and the voltage is 125-250 V AC. Data inserts include RJ45 (CAT5e/CAT6A), USB (Type A), SUB-D9/15/25, DVI, BNC, etc. The combination insert can provide both power and data interfaces, such as the "German socket+RJ45+USB" kit. All modules support 3mm dual key or Daimler specific locking method.

2.2 Control Cabinet Interface and Cable Entry System - Modlink MPV

Modlink MPV is a modular cable entry system that allows pre installed M12, RJ45, 7/8 ", fiber optic, and other connectors to pass through the control cabinet wall without the need for on-site wiring. The frame is available in single port (35 × 52 mm) and double port (35 × 112 mm) options, with a protection level of IP65. The insert includes:

2.3 Hybrid fieldbus coupling

2.4 Lighting Components - Modlight Series

The Modlight Pro signal tower (diameter 50/70 mm) uses LED modules with color options of red, yellow, green, blue, and white. It can be quickly assembled through a bayonet lock, and the base supports ground installation, tube installation, or M12 connection. Modlight30 (30 mm) is a compact model. Comlight57 is a 57 mm single light status indicator. Modlight Illuminix machine lights are divided into:

2.5 Control Equipment - Emergency Stop and Reset Buttons

Murrelektronik offers emergency stop and reset buttons with M12 pre wired connections, with a diameter of 42 mm or 72 mm. The emergency stop button has 2 forward disconnect NC contacts and can be optionally equipped with a protective cover (72P). The reset button can be equipped with 1 or 2 NO contacts, and can be optionally illuminated with an LED ring. There are 4-pin, 5-pin, or 8-pin M12 connection methods to achieve plug and play and avoid wiring errors.
