Product Overview

The ABB Advant OCS SC610 Sub Carrier Module (3BSE001552R1) belongs to the sub module carrier of the ABB Advant Controller 100 series. It mainly serves as an installation and connection platform for specific modules, playing an important role in building physical connection architecture and ensuring smooth communication between modules in the system. It is one of the key components in the construction of the entire automation control system architecture.

Core functions

1. Module bearing

Provide a stable physical installation platform for the CI 532 communication module, ensuring that the module maintains a stable connection under industrial environment vibration, impact and other conditions, without affecting communication and data transmission functions.

2. Electrical connection

Construct electrical connections between the CI 532 module and other parts of the system to ensure the stability and reliability of signal transmission, and achieve accurate data exchange between different modules and systems.


Working principle

The SC610 subcarrier module itself does not have complex data processing or signal conversion functions, and its working principle mainly revolves around the module's load-bearing and electrical connections. After the CI 532 communication module is installed on the SC610, the SC610 connects the electrical pins of the CI 532 module to the system backplane bus or other related connection lines through internal printed circuit board routing and interface design. In this way, external signals (such as field device data) received by the CI 532 module can be transmitted to other parts of the system (such as controllers) for processing through the connection channel established by SC610. The processed feedback signals can also be transmitted back to the CI 532 module through this path in the reverse direction, and then transmitted to the corresponding executing devices.
