PLC Function Expansion:

The basic equipment can be used as a pure HMI terminal

Users can load PLC functions by purchasing a license (order number 140389 LIC-PLC-MXP-SMALL)

After loading, the device can be used as an HMI-PLC integrated controller

Communication function expansion:

The basic communication functions of onboard interfaces can meet the needs of most applications

Advanced communication protocols can be extended through license extensions

Chapter 4 Software Ecology and Programming Environment

4.1 Operating System

XVS400 runs the Microsoft Windows CE operating system, which is a real-time operating system designed specifically for embedded devices and has the following features:

Real time performance: supports real-time applications

Customizable: System components can be customized according to hardware configuration

Rich API: supports the development of multiple applications

Operating System License: Windows CE requires a separate purchase of license, and the device does not come with an operating system license when it leaves the factory.

4.2 Visualization software

XVS400 supports Eaton's visualization software for developing human-machine interface applications. Users can use this software to:

Design the operating interface

Configure variables and labels

Establish communication connection

Download and debug applications

4.3 PLC programming software

After loading the PLC function, users can use the following software for PLC programming:

5.3 Hole Requirements

Embedded installation requires rectangular holes to be opened on the control cabinet panel. Please refer to the equipment installation guide (IL04802011Z) for specific hole sizes. Attention should be paid when opening holes:

The edge of the opening is flat and free of burrs

Consider sealing requirements to ensure IP65 protection level
