Turn off the power supply and check the power wiring and fuses
7.2 Backlight fault handling
When the POWER LED flashes orange blue and the screen darkens, touch input may be disabled (the manual clearly states that touch switch input is not available at this time). The backlight component or the entire machine should be replaced as soon as possible. Temporary measure: External lighting, using external switches instead of touch operation.
7.3 Communication Failure
If the communication cable is disconnected or the controller is not powered on, GOT will not be able to operate. In system design, it must be assumed that GOT communication failures will occur, and important operations should be performed through switches other than GOT. For example, the emergency stop button must be directly connected to the safety relay, rather than just through a GOT touch switch.
7.4 Battery Alarm
When the battery level is low, the practical menu will display an alarm. The battery model is GT11-50BAT (lithium battery). Replacement steps:
Power off (all phases).
Open the battery cover and remove the old battery.
Install a new battery and ensure correct polarity.
Reset the clock after powering on.
Attention: The battery is not rechargeable, disassembled, heated, short circuited, welded, or put into fire. Transportation of lithium batteries must comply with transportation regulations.
EMC and low voltage command compliance
The GT23 series complies with the EU EMC Directive (2014/30/EU) and the Low Voltage Directive (2014/35/EU). To ensure compliance, attention should be paid to the following during installation:
Control and communication cables must be routed separately from the main circuit and power lines, with a minimum spacing of 100mm.
Signal cables should use shielded wires and the shielding layer should be reliably grounded.
The power terminal and ground terminal must be connected correctly.
The installation environment should meet pollution level 2 and overvoltage category II.
For equipment used in EU countries, manufacturers are required to declare compliance.
Safety precautions (key)
The manual repeatedly emphasizes the following safety points, which engineers must strictly follow:
9.1 Design Phase
GOT malfunction may cause the output to remain ON or OFF, therefore important safety signals must be monitored externally (such as hardware interlock).
Do not use GOT as the sole warning device (such as emergency stop). Independent redundant hardware should be used.
When modifying PLC programs or parameters through GOT, it is necessary to reset GOT or power on again as soon as possible, otherwise it may cause unexpected actions.
9.2 Wiring and Installation
The installation or removal of GOT can only be done after power failure (all phases).
Tighten the terminal screws with the specified torque.
Avoid foreign objects such as metal shavings and wire ends from entering the interior of GOT.
In oil mist or chemical environments, an oil proof protective cover must be installed, otherwise liquid infiltration may cause malfunctions.
9.3 Operation and Maintenance
Do not touch the terminals when powered on.
Before cleaning or re tightening the terminals, the power must be turned off.
Do not disassemble or modify the unit.
Before contacting the unit, touch the grounded metal to release static electricity.
Avoid dropping or strong impact when handling GOTs.
9.4 Network Security
For GOTs connected through the network, firewall measures should be taken VPN、 Anti virus and other measures are taken to prevent illegal access and DoS attacks. Mitsubishi is not responsible for any issues caused by cyber attacks.
Precautions for Testing Operations
Before conducting trial runs (such as forcibly setting/resetting components, modifying the current value of word components, changing timer/counter settings, etc.), be sure to carefully read the manual and familiarize yourself with the operating methods. Do not modify device data used for critical system operations, as this may result in erroneous outputs and accidents.
Maintenance and spare parts management
Given the lifecycle of electronic products, the following recommendations are suggested:
Regularly backup GOT project files to PC or SD card.
Check the battery level and replace it every 3-5 years.
Clean the screen with a soft cloth dipped in neutral detergent and avoid using organic solvents.
Spare parts reserve: at least one GOT of the same model, as well as batteries, SD cards, USB cables, etc.
When backlight failure or touch deviation cannot be calibrated, contact Mitsubishi authorized service center for repair or replacement.
