Functional Description

The SSW301HV-230V accepts dual-channel inputs from emergency stop buttons, safety limit switches, or light curtains. When both input channels close simultaneously, the relay energizes its internal solenoid, closing the two forced-guided NO safety contacts. If either input channel opens, the relay de-energizes, opening the safety contacts within the specified response time. The internal positively driven (forced-guided) contact mechanism ensures that any welded contact is detected and prevents the opposite contact from closing, satisfying the requirements of EN 60947-5-1. A status LED indicates power, input status, and output activation.

Wiring and Configuration

The relay accepts single-channel or dual-channel wiring with or without cross-circuit detection. For dual-channel with cross-circuit monitoring (also known as dual-channel equivalent or complementary), the relay checks for shorts between the two input wires and between each input and supply. Terminal designations include S11/S12 for channel 1, and S21/S22 for channel 2. A manual or automatic reset mode is selectable via a jumper between terminals Y1 and Y2. In manual reset mode, a push button connected to Y1–Y2 must be pressed after the inputs close to re-energize the safety outputs.
