Carel PCO5+ 500BAA000L0 Programmable Controller

The Carel PCO5+ 500BAA000L0 is a programmable electronic controller designed for HVAC/R (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning, and Refrigeration) applications. This large version controller features a powerful configuration of inputs and outputs: 10 digital inputs, 10 analog inputs, and 18 outputs. The PCO5+ series builds upon the success of the PCO5 and is pin-to-pin compatible with earlier PCO3 and PCO5 controllers, protecting customer investments in software and wiring. The controller is suitable for applications including chiller management, air handling units, refrigeration racks, and heat pumps.

Technical Specifications

Digital inputs: 10 channels (voltage-free contacts). Analog inputs: 10 channels, configurable for a wide range of probes including NTC, PTC, PT100, PT500, PT1000, 0 to 1 V, 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V, 0 to 20 mA, and 4 to 20 mA. Installation and Configuration

The controller mounts on a 35 mm DIN rail, occupying 6 DIN modules (106 mm width). Power the controller with the specified supply voltage (24 V AC for this variant). Connect sensors, actuators, and communication wiring using the removable terminal blocks. Programming is performed using Carel's c.pCO software (IEC 61131-3). The software runs on Windows and communicates with the controller via USB or serial connection. Programs can be downloaded, debugged, and monitored online. The controller supports upload of programs for backup and maintenance purposes. For HMI, connect a pGD series terminal (e.g., pGD0, pGD1) to the pLAN port.
