The TBF120/7R provides 7A of continuous current with PWM power amplification, making it ideal for low to medium power applications. Its resolver-based sine commutation ensures smooth torque and efficient motor operation. The amplifier supports both open-loop and closed-loop configurations, and its simulated incremental encoder output allows the amplifier to interface with controllers that expect standard encoder feedback, eliminating the need for additional adapters.
The amplifier features a wide range of configurable settings via front-panel potentiometers: signal scaling, pulse current limiting, speed controller gain, offset adjustment, and continuous current limit. The test points provide direct voltage readings for key signals, enabling precise tuning and troubleshooting. The 19-inch rack form factor is compatible with standard industrial control cabinets. The amplifier also supports internal intermediate circuit power or external battery power for applications requiring backup operation during power interruptions.
The MTS TBF120/7R is suitable for servo motor control in industrial automation, robotics, CNC machinery, test equipment, and high-precision positioning systems. Its combination of resolver-based commutation, flexible protection features, and simulated encoder output makes it a reliable choice for demanding motion control applications.
