The ZIPPE MWS10/A is a high-precision analog weighing transmitter designed to convert strain gauge sensor signals into a standard industrial output. Engineered for harsh environments, this module provides reliable weight data acquisition for integration into PLC, DCS, or SCADA systems.
This module functions as a signal conditioning interface for full-bridge strain gauge sensors. It converts the millivolt signal from load cells into a linearized 4-20 mA current loop output, facilitating long-distance transmission without signal degradation. The MWS10/A is optimized for static weighing applications such as silo inventory, reactor batching, and hopper scales.
The MWS10/A accepts input from full-bridge strain gauge sensors, supporting up to four sensors connected in parallel. It provides a regulated excitation voltage of 10V DC for stable sensor operation. The output signal is a standard 4-20 mA current loop with a load capacity up to 500 Ω, suitable for direct connection to analog input cards.
Input Type: Full-bridge strain gauge (350Ω or 1kΩ compatible)
Output Signal: 4-20 mA, load ≤ 500 Ω
Excitation Voltage: 10V DC ±1%
Measurement Accuracy: ±0.1% full scale (FS)
Temperature Range: -20°C to +70°C
Temperature Drift: < ±0.02% FS per 10K

Constructed with a fully sealed aluminum housing, the MWS10/A achieves an IP67 protection rating. This makes it resistant to dust ingress and temporary immersion in water, allowing direct installation in dusty, humid, or outdoor industrial environments. The module supports wall mounting or DIN rail installation with optional adapters.
The MWS10/A is widely deployed in static weighing applications across the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and building materials industries. It is commonly used for silo inventory monitoring, reactor feed control, and quantitative bagging systems. By converting analog weight signals to a standard current loop, it simplifies integration with existing control architectures without requiring specialized weighing PLC modules.
This transmitter complies with CE and RoHS standards and meets EMC industrial immunity requirements as per EN 61326-1, ensuring reliable operation in electromagnetically noisy environments.
