Mitsubishi MELSEC A2ASCPU PLC System Bundle

This MELSEC system integrates the A2ASCPU central processing unit, A1S63P power supply, A1SJ71AR21 ARCNET interface module, and four A1SX81 DC input units. Designed for large-scale factory automation, the combination delivers coordinated control, high-speed data exchange, and robust signal acquisition.

A2ASCPU – Main Processing Unit

The A2ASCPU is a high-performance CPU for the AnS series, executing basic instructions in 0.2 µs per step. It supports up to 1024 I/O points and 14 kB of program memory. With built-in RS232C and RS422 ports, it enables direct connection to programming panels and SCADA systems. The CPU also includes a real-time clock and battery-backed RAM for data retention.

A1S63P Power Supply Module

Providing stable 5 VDC and 24 VDC outputs, the A1S63P powers the entire PLC rack. It features overcurrent and overvoltage protection, wide input range (100–240 VAC), and an operating temperature range of 0–55°C. An LED indicator shows output status, simplifying troubleshooting.

A1SJ71AR21 ARCNET Network Module

This communication module enables high-speed peer-to-peer networking between multiple MELSEC PLCs using ARCNET protocol. It supports coaxial cable transmission at 5 Mbps over distances up to 600 meters per segment. Typical applications include distributed control systems where data consistency and deterministic response are critical.

A1SX81 DC Input Modules

Each A1SX81 provides 16 points of 24 VDC input with a common terminal. The modules feature optocoupler isolation, fast response time (1.5 ms max), and LED status indicators per channel. Four units together offer 64 digital inputs, suitable for reading sensors, limit switches, and pushbuttons.

System Integration and Benefits
