The Omron NJ1019000, also known as NJ101-9000, is a high-performance machine automation controller from Omron’s Sysmac NJ series. It integrates logic, motion, and safety in a single platform, controlled via the EtherCAT network. The NJ101-9000 model is designed for medium-scale machines requiring up to 64 axes of synchronized motion control.
The CPU features a 1.3 GHz Intel Atom processor. Program memory is 1.5 MB (flash) with 64 MB of RAM for data. It supports up to 256 tasks and 1000 user-defined function blocks. The real-time clock has a battery backup rated for 5 years. The operating system is Omron’s proprietary Sysmac RTOS, ensuring deterministic cycle times as low as 500 µs.
The NJ1019000 controls up to 64 axes via EtherCAT with cycle times down to 500 µs. It supports linear, circular, helical interpolation, electronic camming, gearing, and torque control. It can handle up to 32 synchronized axes per task. Built-in support for Omron’s G5-series servos and third-party drives with CiA 402 profile.
Built-in ports: EtherCAT (2 ports, RJ45) for motion and I/O, Ethernet/IP (1 port) for SCADA/HMI connectivity, USB host (for programming), and USB device (for Sysmac Studio). The controller also has an SD card slot (up to 32GB) for data logging and program backup. It can manage up to 1024 local I/O points via EtherCAT terminals.
Programmed using Omron’s Sysmac Studio software, which integrates IEC 61131-3 languages (ladder, structured text, function block, sequential function chart). The same software handles motion tuning and HMI development. The controller supports online editing and simulation.
LED indicators: run, error, EtherCAT link, and battery. The controller logs up to 1000 events with timestamp. Security features include user authentication, IP filtering, and encrypted firmware updates. It also includes a hardware write-protect switch for memory card.

Power supply: 24V DC (typical 0.5A). Dimensions: 80 x 90 x 71 mm (W x H x D). Operating temperature: 0°C to 55°C; storage: -20°C to 75°C. Humidity: 10% to 90% non-condensing. The unit is rated IP20 and mounts on DIN rail.
Ideal for packaging machines, pick-and-place robots, printing presses, and assembly equipment. The NJ1019000 balances performance and cost for mid-range automation projects.
The Omron NJ1019000 machine automation controller combines powerful motion and logic control on EtherCAT. With 1.5MB memory and 64-axis capability, it is a versatile CPU for modern high-speed machinery.
