Construction Details

The cable is manufactured with a central filler to maintain roundness, fine‑strand copper conductors (IEC 60228 Class 6) for high flexibility, an extruded inner sheath, a tinned copper braid shield (drain wire optional), and an outer PVC jacket. The braid provides effective screening against electromagnetic interference, making it suitable for analog signals, encoder feedback, and communication lines (RS‑485, CAN, PROFIBUS). The jacket is resistant to mineral oils, cutting fluids, and lubricants commonly found in machine shops.

Applications

This cable is used in cable carrier (drag chain) systems for moving machine parts, such as robotic arms, CNC machining centers, and pick‑and‑place equipment. It is also suitable for fixed connections between PLC racks and remote I/O cabinets, servo motor power/brake cables, and shielded control circuits. The 25‑meter length is convenient for installing between a control panel and a remote machine station.

Recommended Use

For drag chain applications, the cable should be installed without twisting, and the bending radius should not be exceeded. The cable has a maximum travel speed of 3 m/s and an acceleration of 5 m/s² for flexing applications. Unshielded and shielded versions exist; the “Braids” designation confirms the shielded variant. Installation Notes
