The Sanyo PLC-XTC50L is a portable LCD multimedia projector designed for business and educational presentations. It provides a brightness of 2600 lumens, XGA resolution (1024 × 768 pixels), and a contrast ratio of 450:1. The projector supports both 50 Hz and 60 Hz refresh rates, making it compatible with a wide range of video sources including computers, DVD players, and document cameras. Its compact size and light weight (2.6 kg) allow easy transportation between meeting rooms.
Display technology: 0.8-inch poly-silicon LCD panels (3 panels). Native resolution: 1024 × 768 (XGA). Maximum resolution: 1280 × 1024 (compressed). Brightness: 2600 lumens (peak). Contrast ratio: 450:1. Lamp: 200 W UHP, typical life 2000 hours (economy mode up to 3000 hours). Projection lens: f = 18.9-22.7 mm, F1.6-1.9, manual zoom (1.2×) and manual focus. Throw ratio: 1.6-1.9:1. Screen size (diagonal): 30″ to 300″. Keystone correction: vertical ±30°. Input signals: Composite video (RCA), S-Video (mini DIN 4-pin), component video (via VGA adapter), RGB (15-pin D-sub), and audio inputs (3.5 mm stereo). Output: RGB loop-through (15-pin D-sub) and audio out. Built-in speaker: 1 W mono. Power supply: 100-240 V AC, 50/60 Hz, consumption 240 W (normal), 8 W (standby). Dimensions: 310 mm (W) × 97 mm (H) × 260 mm (D). Weight: 2.6 kg.

The three-LCD panel system delivers accurate colour reproduction without the “rainbow effect” associated with single-chip DLP projectors. The 2600 lumens output is sufficient for presentation environments with moderate ambient lighting. The manual zoom (1.2×) provides flexibility in placement: a 100-inch diagonal image can be achieved at distances from 3.1 to 3.7 metres. The keystone correction (digital) compensates for vertical tilt, allowing placement on a low table without image distortion.
Rear panel connectors include: one 15-pin VGA input (RGB), one VGA output (loop-through), one composite video (RCA), one S-Video (mini DIN 4-pin), one 3.5 mm audio input (stereo), and one 3.5 mm audio output (for external speakers). The projector does not include HDMI; adapters from DVI to VGA or HDMI to VGA can be used. The RS-232C serial port (mini-DIN 8-pin) allows remote control via automation systems. The IR receiver is on the front and rear.
Place the projector on a stable surface or mount it to the ceiling using the three M4 threaded holes (maximum screw length 8 mm). Connect power and source cables. Use the remote control or top panel buttons to turn on. Use the zoom and focus rings to adjust image size and sharpness. The on-screen menu allows adjustment of brightness, contrast, colour, and aspect ratio (4:3 or 16:9). The projector has a built-in image freeze function and a digital zoom (×2) for detail viewing. For maintenance, replace the lamp after 2000 hours or when the “Lamp” warning LED lights. The air filter should be cleaned every 100 hours of operation.
The PLC-XTC50L is suitable for classroom teaching, corporate boardroom presentations, training seminars, and small conference rooms. It can also be used for home theatre (though native 4:3 aspect ratio is better suited for data). The projector works with any computer that has a VGA output, as well as standard DVD players (via composite or S-Video).
The projector is CE, FCC, and RoHS compliant. Operating noise: 35 dB (normal) / 30 dB (economy). Operating temperature: 5°C to 35°C. Storage: -20°C to 60°C. Humidity: 30-85% non-condensing. The unit contains a mercury lamp; dispose of according to local regulations.
The Sanyo PLC-XTC50L projector offers reliable, bright image projection for professional presentations. Its XGA resolution, 2600 lumens, and versatile inputs make it a practical choice for organisations needing a portable or ceiling-mounted projector for data and video.
