Product Overview

The Siemens 3VA2463-5HL32-0AA0 is a high-performance molded case circuit breaker from the 3VA2 series, rated at 630 amperes for three-phase power systems. It features an electronic trip unit (ETU) that provides adjustable overload (L) and short-circuit (S, I, G) protection, making it suitable for selective coordination in industrial power distribution. Functional Description

The electronic trip unit continuously monitors current via built-in current transformers. It calculates thermal heating (I²t) for overload protection. For short-circuit, it provides an instantaneous trip or a time-delayed short-time trip for selective coordination with downstream breakers. Ground fault protection measures vector sum of phase currents. The trip unit can be set using rotary dials. The breaker's contacts open via a stored-energy mechanism when a trip occurs. The handle moves to a mid-position to indicate trip condition. Manual reset is required by moving to OFF then ON.
