AB 1326AB High Performance AC Servomotors

Product Overview: 1326AB series servo motors are high-performance three-phase brushless AC synchronous motors, suitable for 1391 AC servo controller. They are equipped with standard features such as permanent magnet rotor, sinusoidal winding stator, brushless resolver feedback, etc., with protection class up to IP65 (except in some cases), and are available in a variety of optional configurations to meet different industrial needs.

Product Details

Model Number Description: The model number contains information about the motor type, mounting method, braking, etc. For example, for 1326AB - A1G, ‘A’ stands for a specific motor type, ‘1’ indicates the stack length within the frame dimensions, and ‘G ‘ relates to mounting and shaft related descriptions.

Performance Parameters: Performance data are given for different motor-amplifier combinations, such as continuous blocking torque, peak blocking torque, rated speed, etc. Typical speed-torque curves are also provided, defining rated and intermittent operation areas. Special order motors have specific performance specifications.

Dimensional specifications: Detailed list of mounting dimensions for the different motor series (A, B, C series), including face flange mounting and shaft extension dimensions, etc., as well as information on motor cable dimensions.

Optional Configurations: Provide a variety of optional configurations, such as integrated holding brake (90V DC or 24V DC coil), braking power supply, shaft oil seal kits, different types of feedback devices and mounting kits, junction box kits, fan cooling kits, etc., and the configurations have the corresponding technical specifications and features.

Application Guide: Provide users with selection steps to determine the motor speed and torque requirements according to the application, calculate the system inertia, and select the motor that meets the conditions. For different transmission systems such as screw, rack and pinion, conveyor belt, etc., the formulae and typical data for calculating motor speed, torque and system inertia are given. It also provides data tables for different application scenarios (e.g. point positioning, machine tool positioning, etc.) to help users make accurate selections.

Installation and wiring: When installing, it is necessary to pay attention to the installation direction of the motor, environmental conditions, etc. Some operations may affect the motor protection level. Detailed description of the various types of cables (such as commutation cable, power cable, etc.) pin definition and connection mode, to facilitate the user to make electrical connections .

Installation Considerations

Installation environment: The motors have a standard protection rating of IP65 against harsh environments when using the shaft sealing option, but this rating is lost when using externally mounted encoder/rotary transformer feedback or fan kits. The motor is suitable for use in contamination level 2 environments and should be installed to avoid specialised environments such as oily, corrosive, high temperatures, etc., or if this is not possible, additional protection will be required. At the same time, make sure that the altitude of the motor's installation location does not exceed the specified values to avoid factors such as air pressure affecting the motor's performance.

Motor Installation: The motor can be installed vertically with the shaft up or down. When installing the motor, make sure that the mounting surface of the motor is flat and stable, and avoid vibration and shock. For different series of motors (e.g. A, B, C series), pay attention to the differences in their mounting dimensions, and install them in accordance with the dimensional specifications in the manual to ensure that the mounting holes are aligned to avoid forcible installation resulting in damage to the motor or mounting components. During the installation process, if tools are needed, be careful to avoid damaging the motor shell and internal parts.

Accessory Installation: When installing the Integrated Brake, pay attention to the type of brake (90V DC or 24V DC coil) and the suitability of the motor, and follow the correct installation procedures. The brake is mainly used for holding stationary loads and emergency braking. When using the brake, pay attention to its limitations, e.g., when used as a parking brake, the number of times it is energised/de-energised must not exceed 90 times per hour. Ensure that the oil seal is in place when installing the shaft oil seal kit, which is suitable for occasional contact of the motor shaft with oil splashes and is not suitable for scenarios where the motor shaft is partially or completely submerged in oil. When installing an encoder or resolver feedback device, use the appropriate mounting kit for the different series of motors, e.g. 1326AB - MOD - Mxx series. Note that the use of these kits may result in the motor losing its IP65 protection rating.

Wiring Regulations: Strictly follow the cable wiring information when wiring, different types of cables (e.g. 1326 - CFUxx, 1326 - CPABxx, etc.) have different pin definitions and connection methods, ensure that they are connected correctly to avoid mismatched wiring which could lead to failure or damage to the motor. All cables should be hung or laid flat for 24 hours prior to installation to allow the conductors to ‘slacken’ to their natural state and prevent internal twisting. For extended length cables (1326ES series), use with 1391B - ES or 1391 - DES drives.

Maintenance Precautions

Daily Inspection: Inspect the motor's appearance periodically for damage, deformation, corrosion, etc., and address any abnormalities promptly. Check the connection parts of the motor, including cable connections, mounting bolts, etc., to ensure that the connection is firm and free of looseness. Monitor the operating temperature of the motor, the motor is equipped with a thermal switch, when the temperature reaches 150 ° C (typical value) will be open, 90 - 100 ° C (typical value) will be closed, through the observation of the thermal switch status or the use of temperature detection equipment, to ensure that the motor operating temperature in the normal range, to avoid overheating damage to the motor.

Holding brake maintenance: For motors with holding brakes, it is important to regularly check the performance of the brakes, such as braking torque and response time. It can be tested by professional testing equipment to ensure that the brake can work properly. Brake pads of the brake will have a certain degree of wear, according to the frequency of use and wear and tear, timely replacement of brake pads to ensure the braking effect of the brake .

Feedback device maintenance: Regularly check the working status of the encoder or resolver feedback device to ensure that it can accurately provide position, commutation and speed feedback information. You can check the accuracy and stability of the feedback signal through the relevant testing software or equipment. If the feedback device is found to be faulty, replace or repair it in time to avoid affecting the control accuracy of the motor .

Other maintenance: Avoid running the motor under overload for a long time, overload will lead to higher motor temperature, wear and tear, and shorten the service life of the motor. Regularly clean the motor, remove dust, oil and other impurities on the surface, and maintain good heat dissipation performance of the motor. If the motor is not in use for a long time, it should be regularly energised to prevent the internal parts of the motor from moisture and rust.
