First alarm, event register and output system
The first indication is displayed through a four digit panel: the alarm channel that is activated first after reset is displayed with the letter A and channel number (such as A08), which can be cleared by the confirm/reset button. The panel event register stores the last 9 events, which are read out in chronological order using the ↑ button, from the latest to the oldest; In the display format, A=alarm appears, "-"=alarm disappears, four horizontal lines=confirm, and the decimal point indicates the first alarm after the last confirmation. Important reminder: Entering programming mode will automatically clear the panel event register, and auxiliary power interruptions will also be lost; But the serial port event register (50 entries, maximum relative timestamp of 60 seconds, inter channel resolution of 5 ms) is only reset when the auxiliary power supply is interrupted.
The output system includes four auxiliary relays: two sets of alarm replay outputs (can follow FCFR contacts/AACR confirm action control/ISR 300 ms pulse shaping/FCFR+ISR/FCFR+AACR five mode programming, with a basic delay of 70 ms), one audio device output (can be remotely muted by panel buttons or terminal 17), and one self supervised output (constantly charged, released in case of fault). An alarm that has been muted but has not been confirmed will not trigger the sound again if the contact repeatedly "pumps" and shakes.
Self supervision and fault codes - the first entry point for troubleshooting
The self-monitoring system continuously monitors internal voltage (24 V under voltage, 5 V over/under voltage, 48 V under voltage), program execution, and microprocessor logic. In the event of a fault, it automatically attempts to restart. If the fault persists, the FAULT LED lights up, the self-monitoring relay releases, and all other outputs (including serial ports) are blocked. Display screen malfunction information:
---1=Parameter storage circuit unavailable
---2=Parameter memory failure (checksum error)
---3=Event register is blocked due to contact 'pumping'
---4=On site contact circuit power supply undervoltage
In terms of serial port supervision: If there is no serial communication within 30 seconds, the decimal point in the lower right corner will flash, indicating a fault in the communication bus or higher-level system; If the device is not connected to the bus, the parameter V201 can be set to 1 (synch out) to release bus supervision. The monitoring of the "pumping" contact is set by the S11 parameter: 00=not enabled, 01... 99=maximum allowed alarm frequency per minute, when exceeded, the channel is blocked, and "pumping"+channel number is displayed. Press RESET to reset.
Module level event codes: E10 module fault, E13 overflow matrix register event, E50 module reset, E51 event register overflow; Channel level event codes: E1 alarm activation, E2 alarm reset, E3 signal follow-up activation, E4 signal follow-up reset.
Module replacement process and parameter migration
The device is basically maintenance free under specified operating conditions, but in harsh environments (temperature, humidity, corrosive gases, dust), it should be visually inspected with regular tests for mechanical damage to the casing/bracket/frame/plastic cover/rubber pad, oxidation marks on the PCB and metal parts, and dust accumulation inside the cover and PCB.
The key technique for replacement is parameter memory transfer: when replacing the alarm module SWPM 3A1, the programmed parameter memory of the old module can be inserted into the new module, and the new module can work according to the original operating values without reprogramming. The parameter memory is marked as D17. Two mandatory precautions: ① When inserting the memory chip, the chip notch must face the front panel of the module to prevent damage; ② ESD electrostatic protection must be taken when handling electronic circuits.
When changing the output contact mode (NO/NC switching), the relay is located on the PCB of SWIM 2A1 (W1/W2=resend relay 1/2, W3=self supervised output, W4=audio output), and the jumper can be moved according to the PCB silk screen printing; The default output contact at the factory is NO, and only the self supervised output is in the form of normally charged NC. Warning: Even if the auxiliary power supply is disconnected, there may still be external voltage in the auxiliary resend contact circuit. The spare parts list includes: SWPA 3A1 alarm module, SWIM 2A1 input/output module, SWCM 3A1 connection module, SPGU 240A1/48B2 power module, SYKU 639 unwritten legend film, as well as SPA-ZC 17/21 fiber optic module (plastic/glass four combination), SPA-ZC 3 RS485 module, and SPA-ZX 101/102/103 elevated rack.
Key points of power and communication engineering
The power module has dual identical voltage inputs (terminals 20-21, 23-24), usually using only one input, or dual power supply - but the two inputs are electrically connected. When dual power supply is used, the two power sources must be electrically isolated (such as through a 20 VA, 220/220 V isolation transformer), and the protective grounding (terminal 22) must be wired correctly. The insulation level between the power supply and electronic circuit, as well as between the on-site contact circuit and electronic circuit, is 2 kV, 50 Hz, and 1 min; The power consumption of the auxiliary power supply is 10-15 W. The supply voltage range must be consistent with the nameplate markings (UN=18... 80 V or UN=80... 265 V, indicated by a box cross on the back of the chassis).
