The serial port is RS 485 (SPA bus protocol, terminals 1/2/3/13/14), default 9600 bit/s, optional 4800/2400/1200/300; The electrical connection transmission distance is about 20-30 meters (depending on the interference level), and the allowable ground potential difference between devices is ± 10 V. It is always recommended to use fiber optic communication in strong interference environments such as substations: plastic fiber is about 30 meters long and glass fiber can reach 2 kilometers through SPA-ZC 17 or SPA-ZC 21 modules; LON bus can also be connected through SPA-ZC 100 LON/SPA gateway. When multiple devices are in close proximity without a higher-level system, one can be set as a synchronous pulse transmitter (V201=1) and the rest as receivers (V201=0) to synchronize the flashing sequence.
Key points of commissioning and acceptance testing
When starting, connect the auxiliary power supply, and all channels that are already in an alarm state will be displayed as "confirmed" without entering the event register. Function test: First confirm/reset all alarms, then continuously press and hold the confirm/reset button for about 1 second - all LEDs except for the FAULT LED light up, and the digital display is 8888; If pressed continuously for more than 15 seconds, the self supervised output relay will activate and the FAULT LED will light up (this is a protective test of the device itself). This test only covers internal system circuits, and on-site contact circuits and auxiliary devices must be tested separately.
Parameter programming can be completed through the five buttons on the panel (parameter selection ↓, value selection ↑, cursor →, channel selection, confirm storage) or the serial SMS 010 software, and the parameters are stored in non-volatile EEPROM; During programming, the device goes offline (the process of exiting programming mode is the same as power on startup) and automatically exits programming mode after one minute of no operation. The S1/S2 plug selector located on the front panel rear PCB can block the programming mode: S1 position allows, S2 position prohibits, to prevent unauthorized modification of parameters.
Mastering the four key points of "fault code four check, D17 parameter migration, fiber optic communication priority, S1/S2 permission management" can enable this 16 channel alarm platform to maintain a predictable, diagnosable, and quickly repairable operating state throughout the entire lifecycle of substations and industrial sites.
