DIP 1、 2. 3. Set the altitude; DIP 4、 5. 6. Set release time, common gears are 50, 75, 100, 130, 150, 175, 200, 240 ms; DIP 7 and 8 set contactor configuration: 00 is 400 A mechanical locking, 01 is 400 A electrical holding, 10 is 800 A mechanical locking, 11 is 800 A electrical holding; DIP 9 enables/disables TDUV; DIP 10、 11. Set external capacitor TDUV time to 0.2, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 s; DIP 12 sets Power Up Safety, 0 enabled, 1 disabled. The bypass contactor is usually set to release 50 ms in medium voltage soft start applications. The release time should be coordinated with the upstream fuse, and a value equal to or greater than the intersection point of the rated breaking current of the contactor and the melting curve of the fuse should be selected; If the fuse is not the recommended model, the release time may need to be recalculated.
LED and status relay
The green module status light indicates that the power supply is normal and the configuration is valid; Red indicates undervoltage, contactor failure, invalid configuration, or internal malfunction; Extinguishing indicates no power, insufficient power, or internal malfunction. The status light of the contactor is yellow, which lights up upon receiving the CLOSE command and remains on until the contactor opens; When the contactor is not closed or the power supply is insufficient, it will turn off. Series B will also use red light flashing 1 and flashing 2 to distinguish different states, and the number of flashes should be recorded during troubleshooting.
Module status relays 13/14 are normally open, open in case of fault and closed in case of normal operation; The contactor status relay 15/16 is normally open. When the contactor is opened, it opens and closes after receiving a closing command for 200 ms or after the contactor is closed. Note that the status relay of the contactor is not equivalent to "the contactor is fully closed", it reflects the command and status logic, and the feedback of the auxiliary contacts still needs to be checked separately.
Common faults and solutions
The contactor does not engage at all. First, check if both LEDs are off: if they are off, check if the control power supply, internal fuse, power plug are securely plugged in, and if the control circuit is disconnected. Module status red light: It may be due to invalid configuration, undervoltage, or module failure. First check the DIP 7/8 and contactor type, then power off and restart; If it still turns red, replace the module. If the module is green but the contactor is not engaged, check if the CLOSE command has reached terminal 9/10, if the auxiliary contacts are connected incorrectly, and if the contactor coil and harness are open.
The contactor instantly closes and no longer overlaps. The common reasons are coil damage or loose wiring, improper adjustment of auxiliary contact components, control voltage falling below the release point when there is no TDUV, and foreign objects between the armature and the iron core surface. First measure the instantaneous voltage of the suction, and then check the auxiliary contact settings and coil resistance; After a module failure, it is usually necessary to power off and restart for a reset. If the CLOSE command is revoked within 500 ms, it will also trigger a fault, and the command should be kept long enough during operation.
The contactor is open during operation. Check if the motor protection is activated, if the STOP command is mistakenly sent, if the control power supply is under voltage, and if the TDUV delay is shorter than the actual power loss time. If the red status light of Series B contactor flashes 2, it indicates that the auxiliary feedback of terminals 11/12 has been closed. The module considers that the contactor has been opened and releases the coil. It should be checked whether the auxiliary contacts have malfunctioned or the wiring is loose.
The mechanical locking contactor does not open. First, check if the control power supply is below the minimum tripping voltage, then check if the OPEN command has been reached, if the tripping mechanism is damaged, and if the wiring is loose. If the module status is red and the contactor status is yellow, it may be a tripping failure or a power drop; Power off and restart before retesting. The CLOSE/OPEN pulse for mechanical locking should be at least 50 ms, and if the pulse is too short, it may not function.
Replacement and retesting process
After confirming the spare parts model and version, replace them according to the following process: power off and test the power; Record DIP, wiring, capacitors, and filters; Take photos for record keeping; Remove the old module; Install new modules and ground them; Restore wiring; Dial DIP according to the original settings; Do not connect the medium voltage first, use the control power supply for no-load testing; Check the green light of the module, yellow light of the contactor, status relay, and auxiliary feedback; Perform CLOSE/OPEN operation; Check TDUV and capacitor circuits; Confirm that there are no abnormalities before sending the medium voltage. If replacing Series A with Series B, it is necessary to confirm the firmware and DIP 12 settings. If necessary, first perform a default power on safety enable test to confirm that the two-wire/three wire control logic is correct before putting it into operation.
