2.1 PSM-1 power module
PSM-1 provides working power to all other DELOMATIC modules within the DGU. It is worth noting that some special modules may require independent external power supply for safety reasons. Each DGU rack must be equipped with only one PSM-1 module.
2.2 CM-2 Control Module
CM-2 is the brain of DGU. It executes all core control logic based on pre installed application software programs, coordinates the work of various modules, and manages data exchange through the ARC net network. Each DGU must and can only be configured with one CM-2 module.
2.3 IPM-1 Input Module
IPM-1 is a 16 channel universal input module. Each channel can be configured through software as current input, voltage input, or binary switch input, greatly enhancing the module's versatility and flexibility, and can adapt to various types of sensor signals on site. Up to 8 IPM-1 modules can be installed in a DGU, providing up to 128 configurable input channels.
2.4 OPM-1 output module
OPM-1 is a 16 channel relay output module used to drive external actuators, indicator lights, or alarms. Each channel is a relay dry contact output with high reliability. Up to 8 OPM-1 modules can be installed in a DGU, providing up to 128 digital outputs.
2.5 AOM-1 Analog Output Module
AOM-1 is an 8-channel analog output module. Each channel can be independently configured for bipolar or unipolar output, and can choose voltage or current signal modes (such as typical 0-10V or 4-20mA). This enables DGU to output control signals to external speed controllers, AVRs, or other analog control devices. Up to 8 AOM-1 modules can be installed in one DGU.
2.6 CRM-1 Current Relay Module
CRM-1 is a dedicated protection module that can achieve three different protection functions according to configuration:
Short circuit protection module
Ground fault current protection module
Differential current protection module (used for differential protection of generators or transformers)
This multifunctional design enables it to flexibly respond to different protection requirements, with a maximum of 4 CRM-1 modules installed in one DGU.
2.7 SCM-1 Synchronization and Measurement Module (Generator specific)
SCM-1 is the core multifunctional module for generator control, integrating the vast majority of key functions required for generator control
Generator protection: Built in comprehensive generator electrical protection function.
Circuit breaker control: Implement the closing and opening control of the generator outlet circuit breaker.
Three phase electrical measurement: high-precision measurement of all three-phase electrical parameters of the generator (voltage, current, power, frequency, power factor, etc.).
Precision synchronizer: Equipped with a high-precision automatic synchronizer, it can detect the voltage difference, frequency difference, and phase angle difference between the generator and the bus, and output speed and voltage regulation signals to achieve fast and smooth grid connection operation.
Each DGU can only install a maximum of one SCM-1 module.
2.8 SCM-2 Synchronization and Measurement Module (Dedicated for Shaft Belt/Bus Union)
SCM-2 is functionally similar to SCM-1, but its design goals are different, mainly used for:
Protection and Control of Axial Generator
Synchronization and Control of Bus Union Circuit Breaker
Other occasions that require three-phase measurement and synchronization functions
The introduction of SCM-2 greatly enhances the control capability of the system in multi segment busbars and complex power plant topologies. A maximum of 3 SCM-2 modules can be installed in one DGU.
2.9 PRM-1 Protection Relay Module
PRM-1 is an advanced protection relay module that focuses on protecting against abnormal operating conditions in the power grid or generator. It provides richer protection functions than basic protection, such as:
Positive sequence voltage low protection
Over/under frequency protection
Overvoltage/undervoltage protection
Negative sequence current high protection (reflecting system imbalance or asymmetric faults)
And other advanced protection features
A maximum of 2 PRM-1 modules can be installed in one DGU.
Chapter 3 Hardware Installation and Physical Specifications
3.1 Rack System
All DELOMATIC 3 modules are installed in a dedicated standard rack. This rack complies with the German Federal Railway standards BN 411002 and BN 411003, and has a sturdy structure. The rack backplane integrates a communication bus consisting of flat cables and multiple 64 pin connectors, providing power and data connections for each module slot. Each connector corresponds to a set of PCB rails to ensure accurate and secure module insertion.
The rack offers two standard sizes:
84 TE rack: Available space 84 TE (1 TE=5.08 mm), external dimensions A=426.7mm, B=465.1mm, C=483.0mm, empty rack weight 3.5 kg.
60 TE rack: Available space of 60 TE, with external dimensions of A=304.8mm, B=343.2mm, C=361.1mm, and an empty rack weight of 3.0 kg.
Both types of racks offer two options: base installation and embedded installation, which users can choose based on the design of the control cabinet.
