PICUS tool
PICUS is a free PC software provided by DEIF, with features including:
Single line diagram drawing: graphic design of system topology.
Parameter configuration: Set controller parameters, I/O functions, and set value groups (up to 4 sets of rated parameters).
System simulation and monitoring: Logic can be verified without the need for hardware.
Permission management: Delegate power according to users/user groups.
Backup and firmware upgrade: a convenient maintenance tool.
Trend recording: Real time tracking of changes in measurement values.
CODESYS extension
Users can order CODESYS as an additional feature to achieve:
Custom logic programming (compliant with IEC 61131-3 standard).
Increase the number of controller functions (up to 20 Modbus signals per controller, which can be mapped as inputs or outputs).
Combining with Flexible Modbus to expand communication capabilities.

All protections have definite time characteristics, flexible settings, and can meet the requirements of classification societies and power grid regulations.
Communication and Network
The communication capability of PPU 300 is one of its core advantages:
5 RJ45 Ethernet ports: Supports IPv6 (auto configuration) and IPv4 (configurable), allowing access to all controllers within the network through a single Ethernet connection.
DEIF network: Ring network communication between controllers, providing communication redundancy. Support load distribution, synchronization/load shedding, external bus coupling position feedback, and automatic detection of bus segments (including ring buses).
CAN bus: used to connect the engine ECU (supporting the universal J1939 protocol), read engine parameters, and control the ECU.
Modbus: Supports multiple Modbus protocols, configurable server settings, supports data unit conversion and scaling.
Authentication and Security: Network communication has authentication mechanisms to prevent external device interference; Support password protection (customizable permission levels).
NTP time synchronization: The controller in the system automatically synchronizes the date/time and can also synchronize with the NTP server.
Display Unit DU300
DU300 is a 5-inch high-resolution color graphic display screen with dimensions of 238 × 178 × 52.4mm. Its features include:
Intuitive menu navigation and help information make it easy for operators to quickly get started.
Physical buttons are easy to operate in harsh environments (gloves can also be worn).
Supports multiple languages.
Each controller can connect up to 2 display units (with interlock function).
The screen can display status information, real-time measurement values, alarm lists, and event logs.

Key Additional Features
AC Measurement Averaging: In response to numerical fluctuations caused by high measurement accuracy, 200ms or 800ms averaging filters can be applied to measurement values such as voltage, current, and frequency. The filtered data is used for display, trend recording, Customs Logic, CODESYS, and Modbus, but it does not affect the protection criteria and adjustment values, ensuring that the protection speed is not affected.
Engine Interface Safe Shutdown (EIM3.1): The EIM3.1 module can be configured as a safe shutdown module, which can safely shut down the engine in independent mode even if communication with the main processor is interrupted, providing hardware level safety redundancy.
Flexible configuration of relays and analog signals:
The relay can be configured with functions and coil status (normally open/normally closed).
Analog input supports sensor fault detection (below lower limit and above upper limit).
