Certification and Standards
DZ-120 has passed strict explosion-proof certification and classification society type approval, ensuring its applicability to various types of ships and marine engineering worldwide.
Explosion-proof certification
ATEX:Presafe 16 ATEX 7965, Compliant with EU Directive 2014/34/EU
IECEx:IECEx PRE 16.0020
Explosion proof mark: II (1) G [Ex ia Ga] IIC
II: Equipment group (non mining)
(1) G: Associated equipment, can be installed in safe areas, used for G-class (gas) hazardous areas
[Ex ia Ga] IIC: Intrinsic safety level ia, applicable to the IIC gas group (the most flammable gases, such as hydrogen and acetylene)
Applicable standard
EN 60079-0:2012/IEC 60079-0:2011 (General Requirements)
EN 60079-11:2012/IEC 60079-11:2011 (Intrinsic Safety)
Classification society approval
DZ-120 has obtained type approval from the following mainstream classification societies:
ABS (American Bureau of Shipping)
BV (French Classification Society)
CCS (China Classification Society)
DNV-GL (Norwegian German Lloyd's Register of Shipping)
KRS (Korea Classification Society)
LRS (Lloyd's Register of Shipping)
NK (Japan Classification Society)
RINA (Italian Classification Society)
Environment and EMC standards
IACS E10 (International Association of Classification Societies Recommendations on Electronic Equipment)
CISPR 22 (Radio Interference Limits)
Special conditions for safe use
According to the certification documents, the final installation of DZ-120 must meet the following special conditions to maintain explosion-proof integrity:
The wiring distance between intrinsic safety circuits and non intrinsic safety circuits inside the cabinet should be at least 50mm.
The cabinet protection level should reach at least IP22 (to prevent finger contact and vertical dripping).
The ambient temperature range is limited to -20 ° C to+70 ° C.
A grounding busbar must be installed on the intrinsic safety side of the safety barrier. Each terminal 3 and/or 6 of the safety barrier must be connected to the busbar via a cable of at least 1.5mm ².
Application scenarios
Ship liquid tank monitoring
On oil tankers and chemical tankers, liquid tanks belong to Zone 1 or Zone 0 hazardous areas. The pressure, temperature or liquid level transmitter (4-20mA/HART) installed in the cabin is connected to the K-Chief or K-Gauge monitoring system in the control room through DZ-120 to achieve safety monitoring.
offshore platform
There are flammable gases in the process area of offshore oil platforms. DZ-120 isolates the on-site instrument signals and sends them to the platform control system to ensure the safety of personnel and facilities.
Onshore chemical plant
In workshops with explosive environments, DZ-120 can be installed in non explosion proof control cabinets to provide interfaces for on-site intrinsic safety instruments.
Summary of Advantages
High reliability: composed of discrete components, without microprocessors, with extremely low failure rates.
Compact design: 12.5mm width, suitable for high-density installation.
International certification: ATEX, IECEx, and recognized by the top ten classification societies, globally recognized.
HART transparent transmission: does not affect digital communication and facilitates remote management of instruments.
Easy installation: DIN rail card mounting, clear blue terminal identification.
Traceability: Each device is equipped with an Ex-i information label, which records authentication and safety parameters.
