5. Compatibility of grounding system. The built-in MOV to ground and common mode to ground capacitors must be removed in resistive grounded, ungrounded, B-phase grounded, or impedance grounded systems, as well as when power is supplied from feedback units/active rectifiers, otherwise it will cause equipment damage.
Key points for troubleshooting common faults
(1) Overvoltage/undervoltage tripping. The 480V model has a busbar overvoltage trip threshold of 810V DC and an undervoltage lockout of 305V DC, with an input overvoltage of 570V AC and an undervoltage of 280V AC. Troubleshooting sequence: Check if the measured line voltage is within the operating range of 342... 528V; Is there frequent regenerative braking without braking resistance (Frame 0... 3 check h-bit code); Is there single-phase melting in the input fuse.
(2) Overcurrent and overload. The typical software overcurrent is 200% of the rated current, and the hardware overcurrent is 220... 300% (depending on the model). First, check the Intermittent Overload setting (110% for 1 minute/150% for 3 seconds) and Current Limit (20... 160% programmable); Further investigate the acceleration time and sudden load changes. Attention: Standard control models only provide Class 10 motor overload protection and do not include thermal memory and motor over temperature detection (NEC 430.126 (A) (2)). If complete protection is required, Vector control models (k bits are C or D) or additional protection measures must be used.
(3) Grounding/short circuit tripping. All for output side phase ground/phase detection. Focus on inspecting the insulation aging of motor cables, moisture damage to wiring terminals, and abnormal distributed capacitance when multiple motors share cables.
(4) Encoder related malfunction. The encoder board requires a line driven orthogonal encoder with 8... 15V DC output (4... 6V DC when the jumper is 5V), a minimum of 10 mA per channel, a maximum input frequency of 250 kHz, and a duty cycle of 50%+10%. Encoder feedback can achieve 0.001% speed control accuracy and ± 2% torque accuracy, zero speed full load. In case of faults, priority should be given to checking whether the 7V/3V high-level threshold is met and the A/B/Z differential wiring.
(5) Communication related faults. Each DPI adapter supports flexible fault configuration - slope shutdown, free shutdown, and hold state, and can distinguish between "serious network faults" (such as cable breakage) and "PLC idle in Program state". Network type shutdown should first confirm the adapter fault action configuration, and then check whether the ASD/ADR device replacement parameter download is completed.
(6) Fan circuit. Frame 5/6 uses a 100/138VA fan transformer. The AC input model transformer is located behind the power terminal. If the supply voltage does not match the nameplate, the transformer tap (400/480, 600/690) needs to be replaced. The fan terminal voltage is 0/120/240V AC, which is selected by the user.
