Product overview

As a VME digital counter input/output module board, Xycom XVME-203 is mainly aimed at industrial application scenarios that require high-precision counting and diversified input/output control. Accurate counting and efficient control signal transmission are crucial in complex industrial automation production lines, precision machinery manufacturing, and other environments, and XVME-203 was born for this purpose. For example, in the automated production line of automotive parts manufacturing, it is necessary to accurately count the number of processing times of the parts to ensure consistency in product quality, while also controlling the start and stop of various equipment according to the production process. XVME-203 can well meet these requirements.

Characteristic

High counting accuracy: It can achieve high-precision counting function and meet various industrial application scenarios that require high counting accuracy, such as accurate counting of product quantities in automated production lines or accurate counting of the number of movements of moving parts in mechanical equipment.

Working principle

Counting principle: The counting function is achieved by detecting the edges of the input signal. When the input signal undergoes a rising or falling edge change, the value of the counter will increase or decrease according to the set counting mode.

Signal processing: The input signal is first filtered and shaped to remove noise and interference signals, ensuring the stability and accuracy of the signal. Then, the processed signal is counted by a counting circuit and the counting result is stored in an internal register.

Data output: The counting results can be output to external devices such as PLC, industrial computer, etc. through VME bus or other communication interfaces. External devices can perform corresponding processing and control based on the received counting results, achieving automated control and monitoring of the system.

Counting range: It usually has a wide counting range, ranging from 0 to millions or even higher counting values, to meet the counting needs of different application scenarios.

Input signal types: Supports multiple input signal types, such as TTL level signals, differential signals, etc., and can adapt to different types of sensors and signal sources.
