The CJ1W-DA041 module converts digital data received from the CPU unit into analog output signals suitable for controlling analog field instruments. Each of the four outputs can be independently configured for either voltage or current operation, with a comprehensive selection of industry-standard signal ranges. This flexibility allows a single module to accommodate mixed signal types within the same installation, reducing the number of modules required and simplifying system design. The module supports signal ranges including 0 to 5 V, 0 to 10 V, 1 to 5 V, -10 to +10 V for voltage outputs, and 4 to 20 mA for current outputs, covering the vast majority of analog control applications in industrial automation.

The CJ1W-DA041 module is fully compatible with the complete Omron CJ series PLC line including CJ1G, CJ1H, and CJ2 CPU units. The module occupies a single unit number slot on the CJ series backplane and communicates with the CPU unit via the high-speed CJ system bus. Data exchange between the CPU and the analog output module occurs automatically during each system scan cycle, with the module reading output data from designated DM Area words and converting the values to analog output signals. The module‘s allocation of unit numbers can be configured through the CX-Programmer software, providing flexible addressing options for large systems with multiple analog modules.
