The CLA-2 4L is an electric lubricating oil pump with PLC control capability for automated centralized lubrication systems. This positive displacement oil pump provides reliable lubrication to industrial machinery including machine tools, presses, and automated production equipment. The integrated digital controller manages pump operation cycles, lubrication timing, and interval periods according to programmed parameters.
The digital display controller manages the lubrication pump work cycle including lubrication run time and interval time between lubrication cycles. Maximum lubrication run time is 2 minutes. Minimum interval time is 2 minutes. The control panel includes SET adjustment keys, up arrow, down arrow keys for programming run time and interval parameters. A manual override switch is provided for forced lubrication when required by machine operation conditions.
A low oil level alarm device provides output signaling when oil reservoir reaches minimum level, allowing for timely refilling before complete depletion. An automatic pressure relief valve actuates when the lubrication pump stops operating, releasing system pressure to prevent residual oil flow and minimize component stress. An overheat protector safeguards the electric motor against thermal overload conditions. A pressure adjusting valve is provided to enable field adjustment of line pressure to suit specific machine requirements.
A pressure switch output is available normally open, 220 V AC rating for monitoring main oil line pressure conditions. This switch signals flow interruption or pressure loss in the primary lubrication distribution line. Panel indicator lights display lubrication pump operating status for local monitoring. The visual indicators assist operators in verifying proper lubrication system function during machine operation.
Compatible metering devices: TF series progressive dividers for precise oil distribution to multiple lubrication points. Oil viscosity range: 30 to 1000 cSt, accommodating a wide range of industrial lubricants from light spindle oils to heavy gear oils and circulating oils. The pump mechanism is designed for consistent output across the specified viscosity range to ensure reliable lubrication delivery.
The pump body is constructed from specially formulated aluminum alloy selected for corrosion resistance and dimensional stability across operating temperature ranges. The pump assembly incorporates a motor with output pressure stability characteristics for consistent lubrication delivery. Operating noise is minimized through mechanical design optimization of moving components.

The PLC-compatible control system allows integration with machine control systems for coordinated lubrication during machine operation. Operating cycles can be triggered based on time intervals, machine cycles, or external control signals. The controller maintains programmed settings through power cycles and operating mode changes to ensure consistent lubrication schedules.
Power requirements accommodate standard industrial electrical systems. The control system interfaces with PLC outputs for remote start, stop, and status monitoring functions. The low oil level output can be connected to machine control system for operator notification or automated refill system activation.
Typical applications include lubrication of CNC machine tool guideways and spindles, industrial press slide bearings, automated assembly line bearings, gearbox lubrication systems, and general industrial machinery requiring centralized automatic lubrication. The 4L capacity suits medium-sized systems feeding multiple lubrication points in manufacturing environments.
