It carries marking Ex db eb IIC T* Gb and Ex tb IIIC T* Db IP66, where the temperature class (T6 to T4) depends on internal heat dissipation. The double protection concept ensures safety even if the internal components generate sparks or hot surfaces.

Construction Materials

The body and cover are manufactured from copper-free, corrosion-resistant aluminum alloy (with less than 0.1% copper) to prevent sparking and withstand harsh environments. The cover is secured with stainless steel captive screws, and a silicone or neoprene gasket provides an IP66/IP67 seal against dust and water. An external grounding terminal is provided, and internal grounding points are available for equipotential bonding.

It operates in ambient temperatures from -55°C to +55°C (depending on T-rating). The UV-stable polyester powder coating adds an extra layer of protection against corrosion and sunlight.
