HITACHI LBT010A Profibus-DP Communication Module

The HITACHI LBT010A is a dedicated Profibus-DP slave communication module designed to integrate Hitachi programmable logic controllers (PLCs) into Profibus-DP fieldbus networks. It acts as a gateway, allowing the PLC to exchange data with a Profibus-DP master (such as a Siemens S7 or third-party controller) at speeds up to 12 Mbps. The module handles all Profibus protocol processing, offloading communication tasks from the PLC CPU and ensuring deterministic data exchange. With support for up to 244 bytes of input and output data per direction, it is suitable for both small and medium-sized distributed automation systems.

The module automatically handles bus timing and diagnostics, making it transparent to the PLC programmer.
