The LTi SO84.375 is an ultra-high-power three-phase servo drive in the BG7 housing, offering 375A continuous current. Designed for the most extreme industrial applications, it requires liquid cooling and external precharging. (Note: This model is referenced in the EMC cable length table; detailed ratings are similar to SO84.325 with higher current.)
Rated current: 375 A (400V, 2 kHz), peak current accordingly high
Mains: 3 x 230V to 480V AC ±10%
Switching frequencies: 2 kHz, 4 kHz
BG7 dimensions: 380 x 952 x 286.5 mm, weight approx. 100 kg
External mains choke mandatory (uk = 2%)
External precharging circuit required
Rated current: 375 A (at 400V, 2 kHz switching frequency)
Peak current: refer to dynamic overload capability (typically 1.5-2x rated)
Connected load: approx. 260 kVA
Power loss: approx. 5500 W (est.)
DC link capacitance: 7200 μF (as per SO84.450, likely similar)
Brake chopper threshold: 820 V DC
Minimum external braking resistor: approx. 2 Ω
Continuous braking power (external): >300 kW (estimate)
Nominal coolant flow: 11-13 l/min
Coolant pressure: 1 bar nominal / 2 bar max
Coolant temperature: 5°C to 40°C
Shutdown at 65°C heat sink
Control supply: 24 V DC ±10% (4A start, 2A continuous)
Precharge circuit with external contactors
Recommended mains fuse: 400 A (gG)
Digital I/O: 6 inputs, 3 outputs, relay
Analog inputs: 2 differential (±10V)
Resolver and high-resolution encoder
USB, Ethernet, MMC, option slots

Follow BG7 guidelines: mount vertically on a sturdy plate. Connect liquid cooling with 3/8 inch female threads and drip-free couplings. Wire the external precharging circuit (contactors K1, K2, K3) as per manual. Use ring terminal ends for power connections (M10 for DC link, M12 for motor). An external mains choke is mandatory.
Commission with DriveManager 5. Apply 24V control supply (X44). The precharge sequence must close K2 first, then K1 after DC link reaches voltage. Enable STO inputs (ISDSH and ENPO) to release power stage. Parameter sets can be stored on MMC card.
Suitable for servo motors up to 200 kW (400V). Typical applications include heavy steel mills, large presses, marine propulsion, and high-power test benches.
Complies with EN 61800-5-1, EN 61800-3, LVD, EMC. UL approval for BG7 planned.
The LTi SO84.375 delivers extreme power for the most demanding single-axis servo systems.
