OMRON 3G3SV‑BB007‑E 0.75kW 200‑240V Single‑Phase Variable Frequency Drive

The OMRON 3G3SV‑BB007‑E is a compact, single‑phase input VFD designed for general purpose motor speed control. Rated for 0.75 kW (1 HP) output at 200‑240 V AC, this inverter offers V/f control, 6 programmable preset speeds, and built‑in EMC filtering to reduce conducted emissions. It is a cost‑effective solution for fans, pumps, conveyors, and small machinery requiring variable speed.

Input and Output Ratings

Input: Single‑phase 200‑240 V AC ±10%, 50/60 Hz ±5%. Input current: 9.5 A. Output: Three‑phase 0‑240 V AC, rated current 4.2 A (continuous), overload capacity 150% for 60 seconds. Output frequency range: 0.1‑400 Hz, with a resolution of 0.01 Hz. The carrier frequency is adjustable from 2 to 15 kHz (default 4 kHz). Efficiency is 95% at rated load.

Control Modes and Features

Primary control method is V/f linear or square (for fan/pump). An automatic torque boost compensates for low‑frequency voltage drop, improving starting torque up to 100% at 1 Hz. Slip compensation maintains speed accuracy within ±1% of setpoint. The drive includes a PID controller for closed‑loop applications such as constant pressure or flow; feedback can be 0‑10 V or 4‑20 mA via terminal block. Six preset speeds are selectable via digital inputs, plus two acceleration/deceleration time settings (0.1‑3600 s).

Protection and Environment

Protective functions include overcurrent, overvoltage, undervoltage, motor thermal overload (PTC or electronic thermal), output short circuit, ground fault, and heatsink overtemperature. The enclosure is IP20 (finger‑safe) for installation in control panels. Ambient temperature range: -10 to 50 °C (derate above 40 °C). Humidity: 20‑90% non‑condensing. The drive complies with CE (EMC Directive 2014/30/EU, LVD 2014/35/EU) and RoHS. Built‑in EMC filter meets EN 61800‑3 category C2.

I/O and Communication

Control terminals: 4 digital inputs (sink/source selectable, 24 V DC), 1 analog input (0‑10 V or 4‑20 mA), 1 analog output (0‑10 V for frequency or current), and one relay output (NO + NC, 250 V AC / 2 A). A built‑in potentiometer on the front panel allows local speed setting. For remote control, RS‑485 Modbus RTU is included via RJ45 port; up to 31 drives can be daisy‑chained. The drive also supports a simple operator panel with copy function for parameters.


Dimensions and Mounting

Width: 68 mm, height: 128 mm, depth: 118 mm. Weight 0.9 kg. The drive is designed for DIN rail or screw mounting. Clearance of 50 mm above and below is required for cooling airflow. The heatsink fan is integrated and maintenance‑free under normal dust conditions.

Typical Applications

Commonly used in small air handling units, mixer agitators, conveyor belts (constant torque), and centrifugal pumps (variable torque). The built‑in PID simplifies pressure control with a pressure transmitter. Because of its compact size, it can be installed inside machinery enclosures without occupying much space.
