High-Speed Data Exchange Network
The OMRON CS1W-CLK21 is a Controller Link Unit designed specifically for the CS1-series PLC architecture. It functions as a specialized communication interface that facilitates high-speed data sharing between multiple PLCs or between PLCs and host computers. This unit is vital for systems requiring real-time synchronization of data across different parts of a production line.
Protocol and Capacity Specifications
The Controller Link network supported by the CS1W-CLK21 allows for large-capacity data links, with up to 20,000 words per node. It utilizes a token-bus access method to ensure deterministic communication times, which is essential for time-sensitive control applications. The module supports various media types, including twisted-pair cables or fiber optics (with appropriate adapters), providing flexibility in network topology and distance.
