Omron FH-3050 Vision Controller

The Omron FH-3050 is a high-performance vision controller powered by an Intel i7-2715QE quad-core processor. Designed for advanced machine vision applications, it supports simultaneous connection of up to 8 cameras (GigE or USB3 Vision) and provides real-time image processing for inspection, measurement, positioning, and optical character recognition (OCR). The controller runs on Windows Embedded Standard 7 or 10 IoT, enabling flexible integration with Omron Sysmac Studio and third-party vision libraries.

Hardware Architecture

The FH-3050 features 4 GB DDR3 RAM, 120 GB SSD storage, and integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000 with DirectX support. Communication interfaces include dual Gigabit Ethernet ports (one dedicated for camera link, one for PLC/network), 4 USB 3.0 ports, DVI-I video output, RS-232C, and digital I/O (8 inputs, 8 outputs) for triggering and pass/fail signaling. The controller accepts 24V DC input and has a built-in watchdog timer for system reliability.
