Schneider Electric LV430403 Circuit Breaker with TM160D Trip Unit & MT100/1
The LV430403 is a molded case circuit breaker (MCCB) from Schneider's Compact NSX range, rated for 160 A continuous current. It is equipped with the LV430430 TM160D thermal-magnetic trip unit, offering adjustable thermal protection (0.7–1 x In) and fixed magnetic protection (10 x In). The included MT100/1 auxiliary switch provides status indication (ON/OFF/TRIPPED) for remote monitoring.

TM160D Trip Unit Functions
The thermal-magnetic trip unit provides overload protection (thermal) with a class 10/20/30 curve, adjustable via a rotary dial on the front. Short-circuit protection (magnetic) is fixed at 10 times the rated current (1600 A). The trip unit is ambient temperature compensated and includes a trip indicator flag. For high-level selectivity, the TM160D offers a short-time delay setting (0.1 to 0.4 seconds) when combined with a selective zone interlocking module.
MT100/1 Auxiliary Contact
The MT100/1 is a front-mounted auxiliary switch that follows the breaker’s main contact position. It provides one normally open and one normally closed contact, rated for 6 A at 250 VAC. The contact state changes instantly with the main contacts, enabling reliable remote indication to PLCs or SCADA systems. It also supports lockout tagging (LOTO) procedures.
Mechanical Features
The LV430403 has an electrical life of 8,000 operations and mechanical life of 20,000 operations. It uses rotary handle operation with padlockable capability (up to 3 padlocks). The breaker accepts plug-in or fixed connections, and optional rotary or motorized actuators are available for remote operation. Terminals accept copper cables up to 150 mm².

The device meets IEC 60947-2, UL 489 (derated to 125 A), and CCC standards. Operating temperature range: -25°C to +70°C, storage: -40°C to +85°C. It is RoHS compliant and features Green Premium eco-label.
