Electromatic Denmark PLC TYPE 200816 Industrial Controller
The Electromatic Denmark PLC TYPE 200816 (also referenced as PLC200816) is a compact programmable logic controller designed for standalone machine control and building automation. It operates on 220V AC (50/60 Hz) mains power, making it directly connectable to industrial power supplies without an external transformer. The controller supports ladder logic programming and features a mix of digital I/O with expansion capabilities via a proprietary backplane bus.
Hardware Specifications
The CPU module integrates 16 digital inputs (24V DC sink/source) and 16 relay outputs (8 A resistive load per point). Inputs are optically isolated and include LED status indicators. Outputs are Form C relays (SPDT) rated for 250V AC / 30V DC. The module also includes two analog input channels (0–10V or 4–20mA selectable, 12-bit resolution). LEDs on front panel: RUN (green), ERROR (red), PWR (green), and COMM (yellow). The error LED flashes a pattern to indicate error codes (e.g., program checksum fail, watchdog timeout). A 7-segment diagnostic display (2 digits) shows the last internal error code. The controller also logs power cycles and run hours in non-volatile memory.
Typical Applications
Common installations include conveyor belt controls, small packaging machines, pumping stations, and greenhouses. The relay outputs are suitable for direct control of contactors, solenoid valves, and small motors (up to 0.5 kW). The 220V AC input simplifies retrofit into existing European control panels where 24V DC may not be available.
