The SANYO PLC-XTC50L is a high-brightness LCD projector designed for permanent installation in large venues such as auditoriums, conference halls, and houses of worship. It features a universal power supply that automatically accepts 50 Hz or 60 Hz input, making it suitable for global deployment without manual frequency selection. The projector delivers XGA (1024x768) native resolution and a brightness of 5000 ANSI lumens, ensuring clear visibility even in ambient light.
The PLC-XTC50L uses three 1.0-inch polysilicon LCD panels with a high-aperture design. The lens is a powered zoom and focus lens with a 1.6x zoom ratio (f = 27.2–43.3 mm, F1.7–2.2). Horizontal and vertical lens shift (±10% vertical, ±5% horizontal) facilitate flexible placement without keystone distortion. The lamp is a 330W NSHA type with an expected life of 3000 hours in normal mode and 4000 hours in eco mode. Replacement lamp part number is POA-LMP129.
The rear panel provides a comprehensive set of connectors: two HDMI terminals (v1.3), two RGB/Component D-sub 15-pin inputs (one also functions as output), S-Video (mini DIN 4-pin), composite video (BNC and RCA), and stereo audio inputs (RCA and 3.5mm). For control, it offers an RS-232C serial port (D-sub 9-pin) and a wired LAN (RJ45) supporting PJLink protocol. A monitor output loop-through allows daisy-chaining to another projector.
The internal switching power supply accepts AC 100–240V at 50/60Hz automatically, with no manual voltage selector. Maximum power consumption is 430W (standby < 1W). The 50-60Hz compatibility ensures stable operation with any mains frequency, eliminating flicker or timing issues when used with video sources that reference line frequency.
Designed for 24/7 operation in challenging environments, the projector includes a sealed optical engine to prevent dust from reaching the LCD panels. It supports portrait mode projection for digital signage applications. The fan noise is rated at 37 dBA (normal) and 32 dBA (eco). The chassis dimensions are 489 mm x 170 mm x 398 mm (W x H x D) and weight 8.9 kg. Four adjustable feet and ceiling mount compatible (M6 screw holes).

The built-in web server allows remote control of power, input selection, and lamp hours monitoring via standard browser. PJLink class 1 compliance ensures interoperability with major control systems. The projector can send email alerts for lamp replacement or temperature warnings. SNMP v1/v2c is supported for network management systems.
Progressive scan (3D Y/C separation) for composite video, 10-bit digital gamma correction, and color temperature adjustment (3200K to 9300K). The projector also includes edge blending and color matching for multi-projector arrays. An auto-iris system dynamically adjusts lamp output based on image content, improving contrast to 2000:1.
Operating temperature range: 5°C to 40°C (41°F to 104°F). Humidity: 20% to 80% non-condensing. The product meets RoHS, CE, FCC Class A, and cULus standards. Lamp contains mercury but is compliant with EU Directive 2012/19/EU (WEEE). The projector is ENERGY STAR qualified in eco mode.
Shipping contents: remote control with two AAA batteries, power cord (3m), VGA cable (2m), lens cap, and quick start guide. Optional accessories: ceiling mount bracket (POA-PMCX01), long-throw lens (POA-LENS01), and filter kit (POA-FIL01).
Common uses include university lecture halls, corporate boardrooms, live event staging, and digital menu boards. The combination of lens shift and network control makes it ideal for retrofit installations where existing cabling must be reused.
Air filter cleaning is recommended every 500 hours. The filter can be accessed from the side without removing the projector from its mount. Lamp replacement is tool-free via a top panel. Firmware updates can be performed via USB or LAN.
