The Vibro-meter VMF IOC16T is a versatile 16-channel input/output module designed for the VMF series condition monitoring system. This module serves as a flexible interface between field sensors and the VMF rack, supporting a wide range of signal types for comprehensive machinery protection and condition monitoring applications.
The IOC16T is available in multiple configurations to suit different application requirements. Model 200-565-101-013 represents a fully featured configuration with enhanced I/O capabilities, while model 200-565-000-013 offers a standard configuration for general monitoring applications. Both versions maintain the same physical dimensions and slot compatibility, allowing flexible deployment across VMF racks.
Each of the 16 channels is independently configurable to accept various input types including voltage, current, and digital signals. The module provides integrated signal conditioning with programmable gain stages and filtering options. Input ranges are software-selectable, accommodating sensor outputs from accelerometers, velocity sensors, proximity probes, temperature transmitters, and other industrial instrumentation.
Channel Count: 16 independently configurable channels
Input Types: Voltage (±10 V, ±5 V), Current (4-20 mA), Digital (24 V)
Resolution: 24-bit ADC per channel
Sampling Rate: Up to 50 kHz per channel
Filtering: Programmable anti-aliasing filters
Excitation: Constant current for ICP sensors, sensor power supply
Isolation: Channel-to-channel and channel-to-backplane
Operating Temperature: -20°C to +65°C

The IOC16T performs real-time signal processing at the module level, reducing the processing burden on the system controller. Each channel independently calculates overall vibration amplitude, displacement values, and process parameters. For vibration channels, the module supports synchronous and asynchronous data acquisition with configurable bandwidth settings. All processed data is transmitted to the system controller over the VMF backplane bus.
The module incorporates comprehensive diagnostic capabilities including sensor integrity monitoring, open-circuit detection, and short-circuit protection. Status LEDs on the front panel provide visual indication of channel activity, communication status, and fault conditions. The IOC16T supports hot-swap functionality, allowing module replacement without system interruption in redundant configurations.
