3. Common fault 2: Signal loss caused by insufficient light transmittance
When the transmittance drops below 3%, the instrument will output an "low transmittance" alarm. This is usually due to: failure of the blowing system (no gas, low flow, oil in the gas source), significant increase in process dust concentration (such as during boiler ignition stage), or flange misalignment due to thermal expansion. The troubleshooting sequence should be: first check the blowing gas path (pressure, flow rate, dew point), then check the optical mirror, and finally, after shutting down the furnace, recheck the flange parallelism.
4. Response to special working conditions: isolation flange and safety
For high-pressure, toxic, or flammable/explosive gases, the data sheet strongly recommends using isolation flanges. These flanges comply with PED 2014/68/EU standards and can be safely disassembled for maintenance without emptying the process pipeline. The window of the isolation flange is made of pre tensioned and hardened borosilicate glass, which can withstand a maximum pressure of 16 bar and a temperature of 300 ° C. In scenarios involving hydrogen or sulfur-containing gases, it is essential to use O-rings made of FFKM material to resist chemical corrosion.
