ADLINK AmITX ALN Industrial Mini ITX Motherboard Characteristics and Application Analysis

In the field of industrial edge computing, intelligent gateway and embedded vision, the balance of power consumption and performance, rich I/O scalability and wide temperature working ability are key considerations for platform selection. The AmITX ALN industrial Mini ITX motherboard launched by ADLINK is based on the Intel Alder Lake N series processor (N97) and integrates a new generation of energy-efficient core architecture. It provides peak frequencies of up to 3.6GHz at only 12W thermal design power (TDP), and supports DDR4 3200MHz memory, three-way independent display, dual 2.5GbE network, multi-channel USB 3.2 Gen1/Gen2, and PCIe Gen3 expansion. It is also compatible with 12-28V wide voltage DC input and operates within a temperature range of -20 ℃~70 ℃. This motherboard provides an ideal foundational platform for applications with limited space and harsh environments such as automation control, machine vision, smart retail, and digital signage. Flexible memory and storage: single DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, supporting up to 32GB 3200MHz non ECC memory; Onboard 1 SATA 3.0 interface, equipped with M.2 M-Key (2242/2260/2280, supports PCIe x1, SATA, USB 2.0) and M.2 B-Key (3042/3052, supports PCIe x1, USB 3.0/2.0, with SIM card holder), balancing traditional hard drives with high-speed NVMe SSDs and 4G/5G cellular modules.

Three independent displays: onboard HDMI 2.0b, DisplayPort 1.4a (via Type-C interface), VGA, and LVDS/eDP (optional), capable of driving three independent displays simultaneously, meeting the needs of industrial HMI and multimedia content display.

1. Processor and chipset

AmITX ALN is equipped with Intel Alder Lake N series N97 SoC, using Intel 7 process technology, integrating memory controller, PCIe controller, and display engine. Provide one 260 pin DDR4 SO-DIMM slot, supporting a transmission rate of 3200MHz and a maximum capacity of 32GB (non ECC). Although single channel design limits memory bandwidth, it is sufficient for embedded control applications and helps reduce power consumption and costs. HDMI 2.0b: Supports 4K@60Hz Suitable for high-definition digital signage or medical imaging.
