Installation and configuration precautions
Memory selection: It is essential to use DDR4 3200MHz SO-DIMM and prioritize wide temperature, industrial grade memory modules to avoid poor contact or data errors caused by temperature fluctuations.
Heat dissipation design: Although the processor TDP is only 12W, it is recommended to equip it with an active heat dissipation fan or heat pipe in a closed chassis or high temperature environment to ensure that the CPU does not downshift.
Power adapter: If using DC Jack power supply, ensure that the output voltage of the power adapter is within the range of 12-28V and the current capacity is at least 5A (recommended 120W adapter, if PN 31-62196-0000-0 is selected).
BIOS settings: Enter BIOS to adjust LVDS/eDP selection, serial port mode (RS-232/422/485), boot sequence, network wake-up, hardware monitoring thresholds, etc. The factory default configuration is sufficient for most applications, but it is recommended to modify the LVDS timing according to the actual panel parameters.
M. Module installation: When installing SSD or wireless modules, pay attention to the length and position of the fixing screws (different sizes correspond to different fixing holes); Insert the SIM card into the slot next to the B-Key, pay attention to the direction.
Driver program: In Windows, it is recommended to install the chipset driver → graphics card driver → network card driver → audio driver → serial port driver in order. Under Linux, kernel 5.15 and above have good support for Alder Lake N, but official network cards and audio firmware still need to be installed.
Comparison with products in the same series
AmITX ALN is a new product in the ADLINK Mini ITX product line, and its previous generations were mostly based on the Atom or Celeron J series, with relatively limited performance.
